Don't buy the fluff. Nevin is not a real prospect and if he was effective at 3B he would have gotten a lot more looks there and would have been playing in Baltimore this year. He can be DFA'd tomorrow and he will pass through waivers and be outrighted to AAA. While he's not a butcher over there at 3B, he's stiff and will bring little range to the position. He doesn't have the game power to overset a below average hit skill.

If you are looking for a place holder, I'd prefer Gutierrez due his defensive abilities.

BTW, it's also telling that Nevin played exclusively in LF in his short looks with the Orioles. If you are looking for below average defense and a .630-.660 OPS, Nevin is your guy at the hot corner next year.

    Roch fluff nah.

According to Britt Ghiroli, the strength and conditioning team and equipment manager are also not coming back:

Yup. They definitely were the problem with this team 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

    Sure.

    I mean, here's an idea:

Any one of you don't like how the Baltimore press is doing their job?  You do it.

That's right, you do it.  Start your own blog, start your own board, start a Twitter account.  Do what Tony did.  And I'm sure Tony will be the first to tell you that building a board/community like this wasn't easy.  Thankless hours and a lot of blood, sweat and tears.

But if any of you are soooooooo upset about how the Baltimore media doesn't ask questions to Elias in the right way, you come up with a blog/message board and cover the team and get media access so you can ask the questions yourself.  And you better make it good because they don't hand out credentials to just anyone.

Let's just see how worth it it is for those who criticize the Baltimore press to make sure that someone "holds Elias accountable by asking him the tough questions."

    Do it.

I don’t think anyone questions how hard Tony works? I think the point of the threads is just average joes wish list of questions.

So you think the O's will sign a top FA starter or trade top prospects for an ace?  Just seeing if I read that right.

No, I don’t think they will do that. But that would be the only change to the current team for 2022.

Care to expound? Regale us with your opinion as to why not.

Seen it. Done it. We don’t need to bring big  3/4 starter and call them an Ace that’s foolish. Either the Os scrape this plan of rebuilding or they look to spend some actual money or trade away capital for a top line starter. I’m actually not believing that the current regime will not sign any FA of any significance and not trade away star prospects for a real Ace.

Which?  That he's getting guys up in the pen and not bringing them in?  Or pitching someone 4 times in 5 games?

Shoot both but really the warming up. Ramping them up and shutting down. That could mean the pitched in more than 4 out of 5 days.

I'd be interested to know how much Hyde gets guys up in the pen and how it compares to say Buck, who had a reputation for not getting guys up unless they were going in.

I do think that with a 28 man roster and an active shuttle that I don't see a need for anyone to pitch four times in five games.

This is my biggest gripe about Hyde.
