I just watched game 2 of the 1979 World Series on MLB channel the other day. One thing that struck me: the game was tied in the late innings. Earl brought in his best pitchers: Tippy, followed by Stanhouse (who got the loss). There is no way Earl would have left Zach Britton on the bench in 2016. He would win or lose with his best.
The other thing I noticed is the announcers - Howard Cosell and Keith Jackson - mentioned how Earl used every Oriole bench player in some capacity during the first four games of the series. No one utilized a roster like Weaver did.
In the past I've created a composite ranking order based on ESPN/Scout + NFL.com + another couple off sites. If I get time I'll look to see if anyone else has compiled that, and if not, may look to do one myself.
I really think the baseball plan is the most assine things ever. Read things about NYC. Policeman went to emergency room for Covid-19 and they said he was fine and should just rest at home. Dies on sidewalk outside of hospital. Most likely because hospitals was already full of people.
Really we don't need baseball at this time. And there plan is about as dumb as they come. Here is an idea shut-down. Wait until they tell you social distancing should end. Start up schools for a month. If we don't have another outbreak than think about starting sports up again.
We don't have time or methods to test people daily or care for them in hospitals or them to spread this all over the place. They have enough money. They should stay home and relax or volunteer to help.
You should see the deaf guy showing how to make a mask with briefs. There is also a british woman video showing her and her husband wearing thong masks. Its.....different, but I guess its better than nothing.
