Oh I understand that, it’s just that I would rather see the exciting guys first. I don’t know what his reasoning is for using Eshelman, but He’s got a minor-league contract and there’s no urgency with him.I’d rather see the rule five guys.
I've gone back and forth on wanting a TE. My main reason for wanting to draft a WR, however, are specific to the Ravens and this year: the 2021 WR class is loaded, and the Ravens will struggle to sign a FA WR. All things being equal, I tend to agree that another TE1 would suit the Ravens better. I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with 1000-1500 yards worth of receptions going to TEs.
By the way, I don't think the Ravens lack in passing/receiving opportunities for a WR, but 1: it would probably have to be someone that's at least moderately comfortable in the slot, vs an end, and 2: I think Roman holds them back more than anything. Lamar can't fix dumb routes.
Absolutely, and I really like Hyde. I felt bad for him in this. It is what it is, but it’s a tired act. I have watched all of the zoom interviews until today. I watched Hyde, and that was it. I have lost all respect for Davis since his last interview. That was my final straw.
