Any mention of Hays getting activated for the road trip?

Last quote was that he was almost ready for some games at the Alternate Site before being activated. Probably plays this weekend there then comes off next week when they return.

It is pretty shocking how often the Rule V guys get hurt.

Most rule 5 guys are pitchers which have a much higher injury occurrence then positional players.

More moves today. Sceroler on the 10 day injury list and Travis Lakins recalled from the Bowie alternate site.

Please make these kinds of posts their own thread. Why biuy it in a thread titled was none of the players involved?

Outfielder Austin Hays is nearing a return from the injured list. He played yesterday in an intrasquad game at the secondary training site in Bowie and is getting more at-bats today and Saturday.

The Orioles are playing the Nationals this afternoon in Fredericksburg.

Hyde indicated that Hays could be activated late this weekend, depending on his recovery from game action, or Tuesday in south Florida.

What’s the corresponding move to activate Hays?  Looks like just a straight swap with McKenna is likely. Sulser, Lakins, or Tate, could be an option too. With playing in an NL ballpark for two games, and having two off days, we may elect to go with a bigger bench and drop an bullpen arm.

Good observations. The pen is fairly rested as well after a couple of games pitched.
