    • From MLBTR a singing under the old rules.

    • Are you suggesting that Elias shouldn't be able to work in MLB because he might have known about the sign stealing?
    • I think Herrera is the starting 2B for the Tides to begin the season but he could play a key role for the O's during the season is things fall right for him.   He  will be 26 this season with a year of major league service time under his belt.   He has more power than Alberto and maybe more range at 2B.    Alberto has to prove that he can hit righties this season.  If he does he is an everyday player.  If he doesn't he may platoon with Ruiz at 3B.  I will be interested to see if Herrera can backup SS. I think Elias made a good signing with Herrera.  He had 24 homers in the International league last season in 407 at bats. Here is a short scouting report on  Herrera: Makes a ton of solid contact and can spray the ball to all fields when on top of his game. Has a strong throwing arm and a solid glove, overall. Runs well and can steal bases.
    • It’s really orange colored glasses to think that Elias, Sig, and anyone else we hired from HOU, weren’t somehow involved in what happened in HOU. Whether they knew and didn’t say anything, or participated in someway.    We’re starting a rebuild, and that foundation is with cheaters. It’s flying under the radar now, but what happens when we get a little higher profile, and people really start to dig and ask questions?
