I am very disappointed in Dylan today, that was a sweep in the making. Yet, he is my third starter over the current crop. I am SURE he is not happy either. O's will still prevail...at least make a playoff appearance.

So, managers can still manage after being ejected?

I'd safely say Bobby Cox has this record all wrapped up...for eternity. Bochy better start chirping faster. I also am amazed Billy Martin is not in the top five. -
This must not happen...I hope the baseball gods tweeked his hammy.

This might be my XMas card, put some pine trees in there, or some holly.

New food items at Camden Yards in 2016
ConnO'sFan replied to Going Underground's topic in Orioles Talk
They've named a selection after the "highly seasoned, cowardly, former Atlanta Brave". Odd. -
Gus stole a base in 1958! I love his baseball cards.

Well then, I like him even more.

"It's like a fine Sauvignon Blanc," Joseph said with a smile. "It gets better with age." Being in the wine biz for 26 years, I think he meant to say Cabernet Sauvignon. Few Sauv Blancs get any better after 2 to 3 years. Come on Caleb.

I really like this guy. He smiles while tracking fly balls. In fact, he just smiles all the time. Plus, he has his own exclusive cheer song. This may start a trend here too. I'll bet Jones could have someone compose a killer walk-up song.

Most of us have tried to forget Rowell....yet Timmy and his uncanny ability to win Cy Youngs and World Series rings has made this rather difficult. Here is something we all forget, which softens the blow a bit....from wiki...you just can't figure out drafting... Lincecum was selected by the Chicago Cubs of the NL in the 48th round (1,408th overall) of the 2003 MLB Draft, but did not sign.[7] He decided to attend college instead, and was selected by the Cleveland Indians in the 42nd round (1,261st overall) upon re-entering the draft in 2005, but rejected an offer including a $700,000 signing bonus.[6] The next year, he was drafted tenth overall by the San Francisco Giants, becoming the first player from the University of Washington to be taken in the first round.[2] He signed for a $2.025 million signing bonus on June 30, which at the time was the most the organization had ever paid to any amateur player.[8][a]

Whaaa?? Can we get the guy we deserved over Billy Rowell?!! I am all in. No idea what that would take. Just a brief and magnificent daydream.

Bowie player suspended 100 games. So, that didn't last long, what a head-mess he must be. http://www.masnsports.com/school-of-roch/2016/01/orioles-minor-league-pitcher-zack-dodson-suspended.html

Happy B-day Brady! we're the same age! Yikes 50 got here fast. Here is another role Brady has with the organization as reported by Roch today. Make 'em hurl. Mancini and Baysox outfielder Mike Yastrzemski are working out in California with vice president of baseball operations Brady Anderson. They're not on vacation. "He's got six guys living in his house," Showalter said. "Brady's got this big hill behind his house and his goal every year when they first get there is to make them all throw up at the top of the hill. And he sent me a video of Mancini and Yastrzemski throwing up at the top of the hill, so it made my day."

Hey, I remember that game! But Aparicio was really out on the 13th triple...Boyer got the glove down in time. Damn Yankee.

Do not like this series in TOR. Harper injured, wait and see. I'd see a sweep against WAS if his injury puts him on the list. TOR 1-2 BOS 2-1 CLE 2-1 TEX 3-1 I'm feelin' it CWS 2-1 MIN 1-2 ouch WAS 3-0 at home. 14-8 at the break... Let's go O's! 'cause coming out of the break looks like 9 games of "test your mettle".

I am mesmerized by this book, What Is Left, The Daughter....you've got a 17 year old who's parents have both committed suicide by jumping off different bridges about the same time, WWII German U-boats lurking about the Canadian Maritimes, a young woman who professes to be a professional mourner, an uncle who is a master sled/toboggan builder......Howard Norman is the best. I have read all of his novels. AND he is a professor at U.Maryland. Get to it.

Early MLB Over/Under Wins 2015 Out - O's: 84.5
ConnO'sFan replied to ExileAngelos's topic in Orioles Talk
Padres and Cubs Fans, I feel for you. Hope we see you in October. Red Sox better than the O's by 1.5? I don't see it. Blue Jays a game under the O's...try 3 games, and I am being kind. I am so pumped for 2015. Show me some palm trees already. -
I am going to REALLY like this guy...thanks for the link.

T.W.I.B. September 13, 1977: "Rookies With Power" (Eddie Murray)
ConnO'sFan replied to OFFNY's topic in Orioles History
Very smart base running at 18:18...Lou Pinella 15:38...I had no idea harry Carey did White Sox games 14:30..14:20, O's funny. This is all so enjoyable. Thanks Brewster...from New Milford. There is a lot of great O's stuff here. But the best of all is straight from Mel at 20:25... "Roys bat helped the expansion BlueJays give the Yankees their worst clobbering at the stadium since 1925." Small pleasures. And of course the ending music defined my youth, when that music stopped it was time to go out and play ball. -
A heart felt thanks to you Nick and best of luck in ATL. You are my oldest son's favorite and it's gonna hurt him for a while. Kind of like the feeling I had when Moose left. Thank god you are not a Yank. Hey, for those of us up here in the NYC area, we can now watch Mets vs Braves with an ounce if interest.
