  1. The Ravens would...
    get their first #1 seed
win 14 games, a franchise record
win 12 straight games games, a franchise record
score 531 points, a franchise record
rush for 3,296 yards and average over 200 yds/game, both NFL records
    have two 1,000+yard rushers

    Lamar would ...
set a NFL rushing record 1,206 yards (while missing all of game 17 and four 4th quarters)
    be 6th overall in rushing
have 36 TD passes, a franchise record
have a rating of 113.3, a franchise record
    (probably) win MVP

No one would have believed you and I know I'm missing a few more

I didn't say it changed.  I said it was invalidated.

    Not the same thing.

Well I think some would like this to be spoiler free for a while longer.  If you assume otherwise than why didn't you ask a direct question about a character?

Anyhow, for those who are well versed on the "canon" (which isn't me) then I have a temporary thread to discuss details.

Is what I read in the reviews accurate?  Does this film invalidate the overriding story arc of the first six films?

If so, couldn't they have come up with something else?

The main character arc that crosses Episodes I-VI is Vader.

I stayed away from the reviews but the trailers do indicate the return of another big character.  It's way too soon to give away more than that.  Wikipedia has the plot summary up for those that have to know.

  4. Rey is a Mary Sue character with more abilities and power than any other Jedi.   It was better than the critic consensus (58%) has it.  I'd put it above VII and VIII and certainly better than Han Solo (70%?), and all of them are better than the prequels.  Without giving away the story, I am amazed by the footage they had of Carrie Fisher, and they tied it in better than I expected.   There are cameos, some predictable, some surprising, a couple, kind of hokey.

BTW she jumped ship to the Athletic.  Wow if they crash they are going to take a lot of folks with them.

MASN crashes before the Athletic is my guess.  5 months a year, it carries little to no original content.  During the baseball season, you get the yin/yang of the worst (or 2nd worst) team in baseball and the current Champs.

  6. Quote

Terrell Suggs, released by the Cardinals on Friday and eligible to be claimed on waivers Monday at 4 p.m. ET, will strongly consider not reporting if a team other than the Baltimore Ravens claims him, league sources say.

Any team that claims Suggs will owe him just over $350,000 for the final two weeks of the regular season. But Suggs doesn't care about that money; he cares about returning to Baltimore, which is his overwhelming preference.
