  1. Chris Davis’s legacy lives on. Check out Mountcastle’s 1B mitt 😆
  2. Adam Kolarek also comes to mind. O’s signed him to a minor league deal and lost him a couple months later to the Rays in AAA Rule 5. He’s gone on to have a pretty nice career so far and got himself a ring last fall. On top of that, he’s a Baltimore area and UMD guy.
  3. That’s interesting. You’d think they’d get their story straight. Still showing when I logged into my account this morning
  4. Not going to argue with that. Wish they were on a legitimate RSN like pretty much every team.
  5. It seems that way. I think they're also dropping NBC Sports Washington and NBC Sports for Oakland bay area. I'm running out of options to watch the O's. AT&T TV looks to be the cheapest, and it's not exactly cheap. Amazingly, adding AT&T TV is cheaper than bundling Fios TV with the internet I already have. I'd gladly hand MASN $15-20/mo on its own if I could not pay for all the other junk I don't need.
  6. I knew my 2-year agreement with Dish was running out soon so I logged in and found a banner stating that Dish Network is dropping MASN effective 4/1/2021. Perfect timing for opening day! If only MASN would get their act together and be more available through streaming. It looks like the only streaming service that has MASN is AT&T TV. Anyone have any experience with AT&T TV?
  7. Ben Franklin is in the stands in Philly. Also, a cat with a Phillies shirt 😂 I really enjoy it and wish the O's would have done this for charity, too.

I think a lot of the team’s winning was despite him being at the helm. Such a solidly consistent franchise. Cards fans I know were driven crazy by the guy.

True! It just pales in comparison to Houston’s 107 and makes a casual observer think a lesser team won. Now, the 2014 Royals buzzsaw that we ran into... (yes, still very bitter!)

It’s been pointed out many times that the Nats started 19-31 and then finished on a tear. They were the hottest/best team in baseball for the last four months of the season. No way they weren’t deserving of the wild card opportunity that they seized. And when you look at it through that lens, it’s really not all that surprising that they took the championship despite having only 93 wins.

  12. Crazy idea - If we’re not trading Manny because we think we can contend, why not go all in and see if we can get Arrieta and Darvish on 1 yr, $30M contacts or something and give it a whirl to see if that can take us to the promised land? Then start over next year.
  13. Exactly. I'd gladly chip in $5 or $10 here and there because I love checking in on the forums and everyone's opinions. But $25 for a plus membership is not of interest to me since I don't care about the features and therefore don't want to put out $25 for it.
  14. Have you considered a way to accept donations for the site? I frequently read and rarely post, and it'd be great to have a way to chip in without going the $25 Plus Member route. I've donated smaller amounts to other forums I frequent or have found useful.
