  1. Why would Buck leave Ubaldo in there? You have almost the entire pitching staff to utilize today, if needed, since all of them have the next 4 days off.
  2. Another example of what I said the other night - when this team faces even the slightest bit of adversity on the field, they crumble right in front of our eyes. Hit batsman leads to 4 runs scored. Unbelievable.
  3. Unbelievable... They get out to a 6-0 lead in the 3rd inning, then promptly blow it, then can't score another run the rest of the game. Despite having multiple chances.
  4. Nice hustle down the 1st base line, Manny. /sarcasm
  5. I believe I heard earlier tonight that the Yankees have lost 6 straight series. If they lose a 7th straight, it'll be the first time since 1991.
  6. Thank you very much! I will definitely save this for my AVI. Too bad you had time to spare on this, but that is the life of an O's fan these days. LOL
  7. All of us could see this coming as soon as the trouble started. For some reason, this team can't handle adversity on the field. So many times this year, as soon as an error occurs, or someone walks with 2 outs, the opposing team winds up putting multiple runs on the board.
  8. Nah, I would hand that award to the game at Yankee Stadium, when we were up 9-1 in the 6th.
  9. that's true. But many of these players only try for one result. When I see all season many of our batters swinging at a 55 foot pitch in the dirt, repeatedly, that just shows me that they only have one thing in mind.
  10. I've been saying it the entire 2nd half of the season. A team made up entirely of long ball hitters will choke and fall short when the pressure's on. You live by the home run. You die by the home run. Fitting way to end the season on a walk-off 3 run HR. I'd much prefer a lineup full of .280 .290 .300 hitters who only try to put the ball in play.
  11. So if I'm reading this correctly, we're in the "playoffs" regardless of what happens today on the field, right? The worst we can be is 88-74, which is the best the Tigers can be after today and their makeup game tomorrow. So we'll either play in Toronto on Tuesday, or in Baltimore on Wednesday, correct?
  12. I was going to say the same thing. The O's have been not so good since the All Star break.
  13. I'll be really glad to be done with these Astros for the year. They've exploited just about every weakness we have this year.
  14. He hit a double on July 16th, for his last XBH.
  15. It looks like he's just giving up. One-armed swings in the dirt, and just flailing.
