  1. In all honesty - I had read on here where posters had quoted Buck.
  2. I'm not saying he wasn't in shape... Just MLB player shape.
  3. I don't think Buck had any problem with the Kim signing until Kim got to camp not in MLB ball player shape, couldn't play D and started off so poorly. At that point he realized Kim was not ready to start, and Buck likes to have a defense first bench. So... he needed to see if Rickard could start. At the same time Avery and Reimold began to hit (idea 4th and 5th OF) and he began to work a way to push Kim off the roster = bury him on the bench for the past two weeks of ST. U have a difficult time believing that Dan and Buck weren't seeing and talking this through the past two weeks. The problems is the lack of communication with the player who comes from a society that values honor and the leaks and too much communication in the media. It's really the continuation of a bad pattern this franchise has. We just don't do things the right way and its oftentimes embarrassing to be a fan.
  4. I couldn't agree more. Wouldn't surprise me to see one of those TLC/Bravo TV stations come and film a reality show in the O's FO: The Real Screwups of Baltimore.
  5. Does anyone know why you put a question mark at the end of a sentence that asks a question!!! Not using correction punctuation makes me mad?? Maybe! I need a translator too?
  6. I've been thinking about this since this past winter. I believe Angelos, DD and the Jays worked up a deal that keeps all parties happy an ddirectly impacts how aggressive and what we will give up as the trade deadline nears. It goes something like this... Angelos agreed to trade DD to the Jays following this season for something less than what he wanted during the winter on the condition that DD fields a winning team this year. If it looks like DD is being lackadaisical - no deals and he gets demoted or something like that. With that being said - it would not surprise me if Angelos - who is old and decrepit, is willing to trade the farm for someone like Hammels. DD wouldn't care because he is gone after the year and the new GM (Brady?) essentially gets to rebuild on a solid core of Machado, Jones and whoever hasn't been traded.
  7. And you don't even have to go back to last year's threads to find out who. Just check out the Chris Davis bashers from a week ago - it was many of the same posters. I just have never quite been able to wrap my head around how passionate, smart Oriole fans can are so wiling to pile on a player(s) who has (have) the potential to carry this team to the playoffs and World Series... I'm not talking about the Ron Flaherty's on the team. And with baseball being such a mentally challenging sport - do you really think booing and calling for their release is going to help them get out of a slump that - if turned around, could change the trajectory of the season? I understand frustration and blowing off steam. But to use an analogy that we have just witnessed - what is more useful in making change - a riot or a group of people who pick up shovels, brooms and work with others for peace, calm and change?
  8. Wow! I'm calling BS on your post here! There is no justifying questioning Roy in such a public manner. We have allowed social media to dehumanize us, our filters destroyed and our compassion is only valid if we somehow have a way to gain for our own self. I'm sorry Roy. Thanks for doing this!
  9. You guys have to check out John Mark McMillan. His latest album - Borderland, is incredible! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/2cQ5vk6q-nM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/yGNznfexvUA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  10. If the ump was concerned that the hard slide and the O's reaction to it was going to lead to a bigger incident - and felt that if a bigger incident were to occur he would automatically throw out a player... he should have issued a warning to both teams after the slide.
  11. It's not unlike the strategy that defense makes your pitching better. Everyone knows that is right - but Dan, Buck & Co. are finding ways to maximize it with the resources we have available.
  12. <p><p><p>Happy Birthday</p></p></p>

  13. Answer: UJ pitching for a playoff birth and division title. Question: What is so ironic you could choke on it? Let's wrap this baby up Ubaldo!!!
  14. I guess if and when you become a professional athlete of an underperforming TEAM you can call a team meeting and chew their a$$es off to try to motivate them to do better. Until that time I guess you will spend your time booing from your recliner the only underperforming player on a World Series caliber team - giving the other players on the other players on his team the opportunity to console him instead of chewing his A$$ off for his performance.
  15. My point is... booing YOUR OWN player is not just lame... But given UB's prior success and the fact that we may need him this year - it shows that a large number of fans here are ignorant. Not only do you have to pike onto a player who knows he is struggling... But his teammate, coaches and manager have to defend hi when they should be celebrating another win. Booing your own adds no value... And actually hurts your team. Why do it??
