  1. Fantastic! And, may I humbly add that Roy's book, That's What I'm Talking About, is similarly awesome. Equal parts humor, charm, and wisdom. Thanks Roy!
  2. I share in the misery and embarrassment of the current Orioles team and organization and am hopeful of better days to come before I no longer can remember the good times. As a rare poster (obviously), please allow me to express my profound gratitude to all those who have contributed to this site. The comments and opinions offer great insight, but also a welcome distraction from the current woes that pain all Orioles’ fans. Many of you have invested considerable time and effort into making this site the great site that it is. In my opinion, Roy and many others take this site to a higher level. I respect anyone’s commitment to keep detailed information private when shared in private conversations. Roy certainly doesn’t need me to offer him support or defense, but I do not negatively view his unwillingness to share detailed private information. To me, that speaks to his character, not a lack thereof. I also appreciate when Roy or anyone else confirms or refutes statements made on the site with or without divulging detailed information. Would I like more information? Of course, but not if doing so would be inappropriate or unethical.
  3. Thank you Roy. You were certainly given a great gift to meet Brooks at an early age. Your post brought tears to my eyes as it brought back so many great memories of times with family and friends who are no longer with us, and of a genuine sports hero, Brooks Robinson, who thankfully remains with us. I never had the opportunity to meet Brooks, but my life has been enriched not just by watching Brooks play baseball, but by the way he lived and the way he treated others. I've read everything I can find about Brooks, and have always held him in highest regard. I feel fortunate to have lived in Baltimore during Brooks' early career years, and wish Brooks great health and many more birthdays. Please let him know he's loved and respected by countless numbers of grateful men, women, and children. The world would be a much better place if we had more examples like Brooks.
  4. As my first time post, I am honored to be part of such a wonderful cause ($100 has been contributed). Just more proof that Baltimore Oriole fans are the best.
