  1. I had a buddy in the Marines that used this stuff years ago for a couple month. He said it provided zero noticeable benefit. My understanding is that there is as much IGF-1 in the spray as a couple glasses of milk. A lot of body builders use it to get the hormone without the calories. I think the issue a few years back was that the company making the stuff was including steroids in their product, which caused someone to test positive. The guy that recorded it could be in some trouble though. Illegal wiretapping can be a federal offense depending on where the parties were at the time. That is assuming Ray didn't consent to being recorded. People just aren't allowed to record the voices of other people without consent.
  2. All the Colts that currently think this is disrespectful or in bad taste will be bragging about how they were on the field with a legend at the end of his last home game 10 years from now.
  3. http://www.dontevenreply.com/ The guy on the site does the same type of stuff. Hilarious.
  4. I haven't read the book yet, and I will reserve judgment until I do, but I wonder how much of what he says in the book had already been leaked to the media following the operation. If he really does release secret info that had not previously been leaked, then he needs to be punished in my mind. Anyone with a security clearance knows better.
  5. Nuprin. "It's little, yellow, different...."
  6. Its relevant to the assumption of risk analysis. A person can only assume a risk that is known. If the players truely didn't understand the risk and the NFL knew about it, then the NFL had a duty to warn them.
  7. I also believe they are going to have a hard time showing that playing in the NFL caused the issues they are having. A lot of these guys had numerous concussions prior to ever playing a down in the NFL, during their high school and college careers. Contributory neglgence will likely be argued by the NFL as well, depending on the jurisdiction, in that many of these guys never reported or under-reported their symptoms. I think the players have a very tough case to make and I doubt it ever sees the inside of a courtroom. The NFL with settle with these guys at some point.
  8. Eric Decosta was on the radio this morning talking about getting more picks. If the oppurtunity arises, I see the Ravens trading out of the 1st round like they did 2 years ago and picking up some more picks. If Konz is their guy, and I think he should be, I believe both Mayock and McShay have him falling into the 2nd round. If we can trade back, pick up an additional 2nd or 3rd and still get Konz, thats a win as far as I'm concerned. Staying up until midnight on Thursday night to watch them do that will probably piss me off, but I'll live. I'm sure there are a few guys that they take in the 1st if they are still available, but if your guys slides you have to trade back if you can. I'm not sure who it was, but one of the draft guys had that LB from Boston College falling to the Giants. Everything I've seen about that guy is incredible and I think the Ravens have to take him if he's there at that point.
  9. Ayanbadejo is coming back too on a 3 year deal. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/03/23/ayanbadejo-stays-put-with-the-ravens/
  10. Also keep in mind that LED TVs are so thin that their sound is usually pretty terrible. We recently replaced our 40" LCD with a 55" LED 3D Samsung Smart TV and had to go back out and get a sound bar. I have surround sound in my basement, but this TV is on the wall in my sunroom which doesnt really work for surround sound. I find that the picture is far better, but needed a fair amount of tweaking before I got it right. I'm not big on the whole 3D thing and dont own a single 3D movie so I can't comment on any of that. I think the sound bar was around $300 and came with a wireless subwoofer.
  11. He was also based on another guy, who's last name in real life was Barksdale, but who went by "Bodie." The connections in this show go on and on. Nick Sobatka also has a cameo in season 5, he shows up and starts yelling at the developer during a press conference.
  12. The callbacks are great. Bubbles at some point (maybe season 1?) talked about his son Keyshawn, but we never ended up seeing him. I always fully expected him to show up. Other good stuff: The guy with the thick Baltimore accent that is Major Colvin's #2 (Dennis Mello) is played by the real Jay Landsman. Bob Ehrlich plays a security guard at the Statehouse. Cheese is Randy Wagstaff's father. Only one police officer over the course of five seasons ever fires his weapon, and everytime he does, he makes a mistake. The guy that plays the reverand that helps Cutty get his life get back together was actually a pretty notorious criminal that Ed Burns actually busted. Omar never curses over the entire series. The woman who played Snoop was convicted of second degree murder in the 90's. Both detectives wakes that took place over the course of the show were because the actor that played the detective died in real life.
  13. You really have to watch Season 2 more then once. This actually holds true for each season. I did not really like Season 2 the first time I watched it, but now feel its comperable to Seasons 1 and 3. Season 4 is far and away the best. Season 5 was a let down, but it had a good finale. What was supposed to be Season 6 would have been great too, but Simon wasn't comfortable with the direction and felt he didn't have enough inside knowledge. It was supposed to be about the illegal immigrant population in Baltimore.
  14. Despite the numbers not being there, his just being on the field had a lot to do with the win week 1 against the Steelers. They were so afraid that he was going to hit the home run that they kept a safety over top of his side of the field. That really helped the running game and opened up the middle of the field for the tight ends.
  15. If you get a chance, go back and watch the second Ray Rice TD, the 51 yarder. Vontae literally blocks 2 linebackers at the same time. That dude is incredible.
