  1. Any word on minor league affiliate ticket refunds and/or credits. I’m a first time shorebird season ticket older.
  2. I’m a little concerned not just because of this spring but the combination of last year in the minors and this spring. He hasn’t shown anything at the plate. I did see some video of some good looking bp sessions but that’s the only positive I can think of.
  3. 30 bombs at the break get a trade done?
  4. As I’ve said before. the new regime has had a full season and now a full offseason with Davis I’m sure with oberservations and analysis from last season they put a offseason program in place for Davis to follow so far from everything I’ve read and noticeably seen in added bulk along with a small sample size of at bats it appears to have had a positive impact on CD. I have faith in this regime and believe if anybody can get the best out of CD they can.
  5. Well the O in the first looked like their in mid season form already! Like what I see from Leblanc he’s a strike thrower with a good change. The added bulk looks good on Davis and that was a good first at bat. Glad to have baseball back!
  6. I said it last year and I’ll say it again I’ll be surprised if he ever pitches in another big league game.
  7. I understand let’s wait and see how he does this spring let’s hope the new regime was able to have a positive impact on him. Maybe new leadership could be able figure out what motivates him and was able to get more effort out of him this offseason then the previous regime. I don’t see releasing him making a huge difference this year in the win loss column. With the service clock issue with Mountcastle and the money invested in Davis let’s see if he can show some improvements but if not when it comes time that Mountcastle and others need everyday at bats yearly to mid summer and his presence hindering them and there no improvement then I think they cut him but not before then. I think this just the more realistic scenario with all the money invested in the guy the last thing ownership wants to year from the new regime is to cut the guy they invested in 160 mill in instead I’m sure The regime is saying we can do this to get better results out of him.
  8. I’ll wait to pass judgement. He has bulked up which obviously required some effort or work on his part, but did he do his own thing or did he take direction from the organization? Hopefully he found motivation somewhere to put in the work. However he hasn’t shown over the last couple years since the contract that he’s willing hopefully he found that willingness. If so it should show this spring in camp.
  9. Was really hoping to get see a lot of Gunner at Delmarva this year. Hopefully he makes a real tough decision with a good spring.
  10. Has there been any talk of Gunner starting the year at Delmarva?
  11. The new regime has now had full year observing and gaining data on Chris and others. Now they have a full off season implanting and suggesting he needs to work on something they did not have last year. I think they’ll give him the chance this year to see if he can’t improve maybe not even the full year and if they don’t they’ll cut ties.
  12. I have hope that now having a full season under his belt and this offseason with new regime that some respectable hitting especially the long ball will come back. Grant it I imagine he’ll still strike out at alarming rate but if his contact fly ball ratio could stay the same and those fly balls from last year and yr before can again turn into homeruns we could be in for a surprise. I have a lot of faith Sig and hope Davis listened to suggestions.
  13. Would love to see us sign Holt. Solid glove, can play third, hits for a good avg and gets on base at a pretty high clip. I can’t see him cost much more than 3 million so he comes rather inexpensive. Has anyone heard any chatter of him being linked to us?
  14. It’s not tampering if they were to offer a higher position than the current position he holds. Is that a possibility?
  15. No.. But whose to say Houston isn’t going to come Elias. If I were Houston that’s who I’d go after. I mean whose more qualified to take over the Astros than him? I mean after all Elias and Sig are largely responsible for that team.
  16. Elias should option Means to face Severino whose pitching for Trenton in rehab I believe Wednesday.

    DL Hall 2019

I agree. I also believe that there can some level of overkill as far as development and time in the minors and it possibly in some cases with some guys do more harm than good.

    DL Hall 2019

Does Hall go to Bowie soon or at any point this year? Any chance he skips Norfolk goes straight to the Show from Bowie some point next year?
  19. I really hope to see us be able to load up on young talent similar to what we received in the Cashner trade. I would imagine in order to net guys with solid potential they’re going to be young and furthest away from the show. Guys currently in the dsl, rookie ball, ss, etc.
  20. I really like how Stewart Hustles and I just like how he approaches/plays the game. Hopefully he can find significant playing time in the second half and he starts to put it all together. I belief he could be a solid contributor for years to come.
  21. As a manager there is only so much Hyde can do he doesn’t make the roster decisions. I mean he has input but the roster that responsibility falls on Elias. Hyde just has to coach up the guys he has to the best of the ability of him and his coaching staff and not beat them down imo. The players need to accept personal responsibility for their actions and show some accountability. When they see they are making mental lapses do what they need to do to re focus whether thats spend extra time taking fielding drills, more time in the cage, etc. I don’t think benching guys to make a point is going to work, if you feel its reached that point I’d much rather he communicate with Elias that its best to go ahead and cut bait with this guy because its become obvious he’s not making the most out of the opportunity he’s been given, When they consistently start showing they cant do the little things right and are not putting the work in or making progress it’s time to cut bait and get some fresh blood up here, find guys that can at least play fundamental sound baseball. I don’t think its smart to string guys along that you know aren’t going to cut it. These are men being paid to do a job and when your not meeting the standards of your job you deserve to be let go don’t delay the inevitable by putting them on the bench. If you feel there is till hope for the player continue to coach them up and put the work in with them and send them out there everyday to do the job they’re paid to do, but if not fire their butts.
  22. Nice bunt. Great job advancing runners.
  23. This team is so freaking predictable.
