Thinking of "cutting the cord" (MLB.TV question)

Ah, I thought that it might require something like that. I'll look into it. Thanks! -
Thinking of "cutting the cord" (MLB.TV question)
JDubs replied to Eddie_Ripken's topic in Hangout Club
Bump! As Opening Day approaches, has anyone figured out how cordcutters like myself can get the games. I am located in Maryland, so blackouts apply. It appears that MLB.TV will be offering a package where you can watch the hometown team from the opposing team's broadcast, but it won't be available until July. Has anyone discovered a creative solution? -
If you mean that Josh Reddick would be a better fit than Will Smith (as an upgrade to Snider/Lough), then I think you're confusing him with Wil Myers. Will Smith is a pitcher.

I just wanted to point out that the Blue Jays fans posted this thread (and the jokes) in the game thread for today on the Blue Jays subreddit. Let's just say there is no love lost by either teams' fans. I'm off to grab a drink of water. That thread was very salty. (These pretzels are making me thirsty) .

It's been a strong couple of weeks. I hope we can get Fangio.

Toronto looking for New President to be Duquette.

This could be the case. I think we agree that it's a mess either way. I'm not looking forward to watching it play out. -

I already did say that DD wants this job. 2 posts ago. Not even every team has a CEO position. This is not just any opportunity. It's rare and a huge promotion. -

Again, these opportunities come along rarely. What your asking hurts the likelihood of him getting this promotion later. It appears that we disagree on this point, but it looks as though DD's thinking is aligned with mine. -

It would make no sense for DD to make this grand proclamation that you keep requesting. DD does want to be a CEO. It's a promotion that would be a clear advancement in his career. You don't get promoted by denouncing possible promotions whenever they present themselves. Openings at these positions are exceedingly rare in the MLB and the opportunities will stop knocking if you keep publicly shooting them down. It's a stupid career move and DD isn't stupid. DD appears to be a loyal professional, but asking him to hurt his future career prospects would be tremendously unfair. The best thing DD can do is to stay silent and continue to do an exceptional job with the Orioles. -
I didn't attack anyone or even criticize the Ravens. I only write a comment when I have something to add to the conversation. I'll try to chime in more regularly for you.

Wasn't that Torrey Smith?
-
Nope. I disagree. There were missed calls both ways. This was a fairly officiated game. The ball just didn't bounce the Ravens way.

The Ravens got a ton of favorable calls tonight.
