  1. I guess that means the same for your opinion! Dismissing people is easy!
  2. Why not? It's not like we are going to pitch him.
  3. You should feel bad for him, his manager put him in an awful position. It would have made more sense to put Ubaldo in at catcher and put Wieters on the mound.
  4. This about this: If suddenly in the bottom of the 11th inning the BlueJays owner had his mind switched into Buck's body, like Freaky Friday, he would have done EXACTLY WHAT BUCK ACTUALLY DID!!!! Think about that!!!! That's how horrifying this is!
  5. I'm embarrassed for those who are willing to let something this egregious slide. And I mean no offense, I think you are a good poster.
  6. We're ingrates for wanting the best player to play? Buck could have benched Cal in August '95 and people here would be defending it
  7. Yet we have people here saying, aw shucks, Buck tried his best but the bats didn't come through
  8. Britton said before the game he could go multiple innings. Go ahead, give another reason. Bringing in Britton would have been too easy and therefore not respectable. Buck is a strong guy who appreciates a challenge, he lost this one but the team is stronger for having tried to win without their best player.
  9. I respectfully disagree. I know he's never going to apologize publicly, but I really think he does owe the stakeholders an apology. He did not put the team in the best position to win. And this was not a borderline, coin flip decision, he literally failed to play the best player on the team.
  10. Mrs. Showalter, I'm sure your husband is a fine man, but this really isn't the place for you to interject.
  11. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Clippers are down by 38 to the Warriors at halftime, mainly because Doc Rivers refuses to bring Zach Britton out of the bullpen.</p>— Tim Reynolds (@ByTimReynolds) <a href=" ">October 5, 2016</a></blockquote><script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
  12. Supposedly some warehouse guys read this board and I hope they are reading Twitter too. Buck is a national laughingstock right now. But it's not funny to Orioles fans and it's not a "get 'em next year" scenario. This is unacceptable behavior.
  13. I know I'll get a refund, I literally said that in my post. I'm also saying I have no desire to follow a team lead by such inexplicable ineptitude.
  14. I can live with losing with our best players. Can't live with leaving them on the bench. Edwin homered because Buck put a HR prone pitcher on the mound while a historically great groundball pitcher was sitting unused. And yea I must be pathetic, because I spent $2000 on playoff games that will never happen. Yea, I'll get refunded, but it's not about that. Why am I spending time and money on this when the manager won't even play the best players?
  15. What gets me is that after Ubaldo gives up the two hits, everyone in the world thinks FINALLY he's come to his senses. But no, he leaves him in to serve up the meatball. There is no logical explanation for it. None. The only supposition I can make is that Buck wanted Ubaldo to feel redemption so he let him have a chance.
  16. Oh he did? Did he bring his best pitcher into the game?
  17. The single error involved not playing the team's best player in an elimination game. That is worthy of termination.
  18. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/instagraphs/zach-britton-and-the-two-possible-explanations/
  19. Someone who will, with the winning run on first, bring in the pitcher with the best groundball % in the history of baseball. Showalter is the only clown tonight.
  20. Inexcusable. The entire world is currently slack jawed at what was one of the worst decisions in the history of professional sports. Outside of sports I'm sure Buck is a good person, but within the realm of the sport this is unforgivable. This ranks right up there with Maier but feels worse because it was self-inflicted. We spend money and time supporting this team and the manager decides to not play the best player. There is no discussion, there is no nothing. This can't happen but it did. I'm done with him. Thanks for helping turn the ship around. There is no coming back from this.
  21. You think we are going to shift the face of the franchise from his position for a journeyman?
  22. 2 games left and Britton is right on the cusp of the numbers from the thread title. Barring a BS in the last two games, I think he wins it. Several national writers have announced they are voting for him.
  23. Rich Hill making this list is the most shocking thing. Guy was completely horrible for us 7 years ago and then re-surfaces.
