  1. How does this return compare to the Orioles trading EdRod for Andrew Miller?
  2. dang dont think it was goin out but that was a heck of a play
  3. If Mancini were sent to Norfolk and Tavarez gets a spot then certainly Kim would see an increase in opportunities against LHP Also, is it at all likely against LHP some days that Wellington Castillo would slide to DH for a day off from catching? His splits vs LHP are favorable (.868 OPS last year, .836 OPS last three)
  4. Agree with OP on the score 5-3 Orioles HRs by Wieters and Schoop
  5. They really do - 12 times this year is egregious
  6. Looking more and more like they will get the game in tonight in New York. Strong breeze blowing in from left field has moved the run total down a full run. Orioles may have play some of that small ball we saw at Toronto.
  7. Scored a free ticket from a buddy of mine to sit in Section 80 earlier tonight. Attendance exceeded my expectations by a couple thousand and the crowd was into it - although being "into it" also included turning on Gallardo fairly quickly. For me the game had a sort of nostalgic throwback to the early days of OPACY out in the bleachers - had some characters out there. Hoping to get out to a few more on this homestand and see some big wins!
  8. Hardy is a great defender such a pleasure to watch him play shortstop
  9. Britton For Giolito would hurt the Orioles chances this year The Orioles "window" is often referenced as being 2016-2018. You can easily argue that over that entire window Giolio would bring more value. But it's July 29th - the Orioles are leading the division and 15 games over .500 - Dan/Buck/etc cannot and will not make moves that hurt this teams chances to win the World Series. That said, I'd probably trade Britton for Giolio if I were in charge. The value of a young cost controlled potential ace is just so much higher than that of an elite closer.
  10. As noted earlier Upton not in the lineup today - perhaps it's also relevant that the Padres have used three pinch hitters in the game today and Upton remains on the bench. Certainly if he's also out of the lineup tomorrow @ Toronto that would be a strong indicator...
  11. Appears he is susceptible to a false step in left - however his blazing speed more than makes up for it overall
  12. Is Naquin known for having a weak arm? Surprised Dickerson sent Schoop there
