  8. After a first half of peaks and valleys for the Orioles, catcher Matt Wieters said the team simply needs all the components to jell at the same time. Paul Folkemer has more: http://www.pressboxonline.com/2015/07/13/after-finishing-first-half-at-500-orioles-expect-improvement-during-second-half

  11. Paul Folkemer continues his position comparisons of the AL East with the outfield, DHand bench, and Adam Jones ranks as the top center fielder. http://www.pressboxonline.com/2015/04/06/al-east-position-comparisons-outfield-designated-hitter-bench
  12. Ex-Orioles centerfielder Luis Matos looked very promising for a while, both offensively and defensively, and then quickly went downhill and out of the majors. SInce the middle of last season Adam Jones has been on a similar trajectory. Based on his plate improvements from his first season in 2008 thru the first half of last year, it seemed he was on his way to stardom, but since then he has lost much of the patience that was based on, and is back to getting himself out on bad pitches.
