Will the Orioles attempt to re-sign Manny Machado?They’re expected to take another shot at it. The question is when and for how long. This is a good sign if it is really true. I doubt they are going to do what it takes and are likely just trying to appease the fans. Poll to Come

When Jason Garcia batted against Ike Davis today, it occurred to me I've never seen an AL pitcher batting against an AL position player (at least in the DH-era.) Then it occurred to me that maybe today was the first time since 1973 that it's happened. Anybody know for sure? It couldn't have happened more than one or two times in the past if at all. When it happened, I gave my daughter the old "it's amazing how often you see something you've never seen at a baseball game" speech, but she wasn't too impressed. I figured some of you guys might be, though.
