  1. Watching other games from that era on YouTube I don't hear any. I think it's cool hearing the current music at the time between innings and pitching changes during the 79 World Series, while the Pirates were playing boring organ music.
  2. https://2080baseball.com/2018/07/2018-top-125-midseason-prospect-rankings/ This is a great resource for seeing a respected site's updated mid-season top prospects list. The previous "Trade Resource" thread was showcasing MLB.com's Top 30 prospects for each team, including their up-to-date stats, but their rankings are still mostly based on pre-season rankings. Hope you find this as useful as I do.
  3. I just discovered a cool resource to see the current stats of each teams top 30 prospects, per MLB.com. Just choose any team in the drop down menu. It's very nice for all of this trade discussion. https://www.mlb.com/orioles/prospects/stats?dateRange=Year2018&minPA=1
  4. Mods - If there's another recent Orioles prospect thread feel free to merge this one. Baseball America has published its Top 100 Prospects (for 2018). Hays is 21, Sisco is 68, and Mountcastle is 71. I'm posting the top 20 below with a link to the full list. https://www.baseballamerica.com/minors/top-100-mlb-prospects-2018/#A1jJamrGhOPSCAeP.97 1. 6. Decided to go old school and update our list for the 2017 season: http://www.orioleshangout.com/2017/04/05/top-30-prospects-heading-2017/

  8. Could Orioles prospects Christian Walker and Dariel Alvarez make it to the big leagues this season? PressBox takes a look at their numbers. Link: http://www.pressboxonline.com/2015/06/18/orioles-prospects-christian-walker-dariel-alvarez-waiting-for-call-up
  9. Keith Law released his list of top farm system graded 1-30 today. The birds clocked in at no. 22 on the list. Worth noting that the O's DID graduated Gausman and Schoop from last year's list, traded Eduardo Rodriguez, and didn't have a 1st or 2nd round pick in the 2014 draft. Do you think that is a fair evaluation of the current state of the farm? Are you satisfied or dissatisfied with how the farm system has progressed under Duquette's watch? Also, fangraphs released their grading of the Orioles top 20 prospects a few days ago. The list was compiled by Kiley McDaniel, a well respected mind
  10. Jonathan Mayo and the MLB Pipeline staff recently released their top ten 1B prospects in the minors: http://m.orioles.mlb.com/news/article/107150022/2015-prospect-watch-top-10-first-basemen Christian Walker checks in at number 7 on the list.
  11. Baseball America released its Top 500 Draft Prospects list yesterday so I thought I'd do a quick Cntr + F and type in MD to see which draft prospects from the state of Maryland made the cut. This year we have these following five... 25. Nick Howard - RHP - Virginia (From Olney, MD) Howard was a standout prep at St. John's HS in DC and a shutdown closer for the Cavaliers this year. He figures to be the first player from the state of Maryland drafted. 67. Jake Stinnett - RHP - Maryland Stinnett is actually from California but he pitches as the Friday night starter at Maryland which is what c
  12. This thread's most recent source is today's Tigers-Rays game, but if and when this happens to the Orioles later on this season, we'll be talking about it like crazy ........ especially if the Orioles are the team that is inconvenienced. I've mentioned the absurdity of the rule many times, although I (and a few others) kidded about it on the game thread when the Yankees were beating our brains in last week, and it looked like there was a possibility that said game would have been wiped out. This afternoon, a game that was started and halted because of rain was completely wiped and postponed un
