3. Bonus points for guessing the exact date or other Org. he signs with. I'm saying January 28th with us.
4. Jim Henneman says Miguel Gonzalez and Hyun Soo Kim are not making good first impressions during spring training and their roster spots may be in jeopardy. https://www.pressboxonline.com/2016/03/24/miguel-gonzalez-hyun-soo-kim-squarely-on-orioles-roster-bubble
5. Baltimore Orioles (7-2, 1st +2.5) @ Texas Rangers (6-5, T-1st +0.5) Streak / L10 BAL: N/A TEX: N/A Game 2 (8:10) (QS=0)Vance Worley (0-0) 3.86 (1.71/.333), 5/1 (1HR) vs. (QS=2)Martin Perez (0-1) 3.65 (1.46/.225), 3/9, (1HR) Vance Worley: Worley allowed three runs in 4.2 innings in his 2016 debut giving up three runs (two earned) on seven hits, a walk and five strikeouts. He did ok for the first four innings, but could not get through the fifth and was probably left out there too long. His stuff did look pretty good for the first four and he'll look to build on that here. He has never
6. Stan "The Fan" Charles lays out six key questions for the Orioles, from the outfield to the starting rotation to Matt Wieters' durability behind the plate. https://www.pressboxonline.com/2016/03/21/six-questions-for-the-remainder-of-orioles-spring-training
7. Jim Henneman can't make up his mind who is teasing who in the dance between the Orioles and free-agent pitcher Yovani Gallardo. http://www.pressboxonline.com/2016/02/10/touching-bases-before-pitchers-and-catchers-report
8. {This is my first post} I am making my first trip to Orioles Spring training this year (March 30 to April 3) with my family and I was looking for any insights/suggestions/tips. We are staying on Lido Beach with another family (4 adults and 6 kids ages 9-16). Do the games normally sell out? Are some sections in the stadium better than others for kids? Do you recommend arriving early to games? Do the kids have a chance to interact with players? Any unique/interesting family-friendly restaurants in the area? Any other sites you would recommend? Any insight or information or links to othe
9. Hey Orioles Fans! My name is Justine Griffin, I'm a reporter with the Sarasota Herald-Tribune newspaper. I'm writing a story about the start of the spring training season and would love to talk to a few of you who have plans to come down to sunny Sarasota to catch a spring training game or two. Please shoot me an email or give me a call: justine.griffin@heraldtribune.com 941-361-4941
10. Young is expected to pass his physical and be added the O's 40 man roster soon. My guess on who is DFA'd to make room of the roster is Lavarnway or Paredes. Both are out for options. I believe either would be outrighted to Norfolk but they have to pass through waivers before that assignment can take effect. Neither Larvarnway or Paredes has been outrighted before so they would have to accept the assignment to Norfolk.
11. I was just thinking that you could make an argument that Toronto is actually the worst team in the America League East the last 20 years. Because they havent sniffed a playoff game since 93. They havent even been close to first. Their best season in games back was 4.5 in the year 2000. Usually they have been at least 10-25 games back. With Baltimore in the Playoffs in 96,97 and 2012. Tampa has been in the playoffs in 08,10 and 2011. So by this standard can we make the argument that Toronto is the worst of the East?
12. With the Orioles playing a night game tonight, we were able to take a quick drive over to the Twin Lakes Park/Buck O'Neill Sports Complex just down the street -- what a treat not to have to drive 3 hours! Matt Hobgood pitched his first live BP of the season (or of his career? not sure), and I was able to capture a bit of it.
13. According to everyone's favorite MASN blogger, Roch Kubatko, the Orioles and Sarasota County have reached a tentative agreement for the team to move its spring training home to Ed Smith Stadium, beginning in 2010. Roch also cites this HeraldTribune.com article.
