So...Hoey, Liz, Olson, Rowell, Wieters, Erbe, Reimold, Spoone, Arrieta....

That is 9 right there.....I am going to guess Beato is #11???

So, #10 is Britton or McCrory with the other missing out.

Here's my top 10:

1)Wieters

2)Rowell

3)Liz

4)Spoone

5)Olson

6)Hoey

7)Erbe

8)Synder

9)Arrieta

10)Hernandez

With Henson, McCrory, Britton and Beato very close. Majewski is definitely out and I believe in my gut that Reimold will make the 25 man roster this year. Arrieta, I wouldn't of put him in the top 10 but he is having a solid AFL showing. But I would agree this years top 10 is a whole lot stronger than last years!!

My top 10 as follows:

1)Wieters

2)Liz

3)Spoone

4)Rowell

5)Olson*

6)Reimold*

7)Synder

8)Erbe

9)Hoey

10)Arrieta

*Olson and Reimold I believe could make the 25-man roster next year, with that being said then I would move every one up and insert Hernandez in the 9th spot and then Henson in the 10th. So Henson would be the top 10 prospect.

Even if Olson and Reimold make the 25-man next year, they're still eligible for this list right now. And very well could be on it.

I could not imagine that they are NOT on it.

Does Bascom land anywhere here? 3.75 ERA for Delmarva 55k/25bb and a 1.25 whip...good college career too.

And Penn isn't in the top 10 at all? My, how the mighty have fallen.

Anyway, to get it back on track I think McCrory is the #10.

Oops, I misread Tony's post...

Why isn't Penn eligible?

Same reason he wasn't eligible last year -- he no longer qualifies as a rookie by MLB standards.

Good point...No Bascom either...Gotta think Bascom and Beato will be 11 and 12

Great discussion you guys! We'll see how it goes, but I may release #10 later tonight.

Any idea when the first release is coming out? I always enjoy seeing a new ranking each day during this time of year...keeps the offseason interesting.

McCrory could be #10 but I can't see anyway that he's ranked ahead of Henson or Britton. I'm not even sure where all the love for McCrory is coming from. Sure he throws hard but his statistics, particularly at AA after being promoted are less than dominant. 23 hits in 23 IP and 16 walks. That's at age 25 in AA. Right now, the odds on McCrory reaching the majors are greater than Henson or Britton, but the upside of both of those prospects, far outweight the cup of coffee McCrory might get, IMO. I don't think Britton is quite this high yet. Snyder might be a bit higher. Therefore I go with Henson at #10.
