Terps have mostly hung in and just took a 10-7 lead in the 2nd quarter. And yet I'm totally perplexed as to why DOB just got pulled from the game? He was having his best game so far this season IMO, and his numbers would look great if the WRs hadn't dropped at least 4 balls so far. No sign or mention of any injury.

I've been popping in now and then to check out the game but I haven't watched long stretches. This season is done for me, I don't really care anymore its too tough to watch.

14-13 UVA at the half. Dropped passes and stupid play-calling in the red zone were the downfall of the Terps.

I've never seen a team so bad in every aspect of the game.

It seems they get worse every week.

The players just have no confidence at all. It's not that they aren't trying anymore, but they don't seem to have any belief in what they're doing and no expectation of winning the game.

I really want to find a bright spot going forward, some sign of hope, but there just doesn't appear to be any. Even Danny O'Brien....he looked sharper than he has all season in the first half, but then got benched for two series for whatever reason. And then in the 2nd half he starts reverting to the DOB we've seen in a lot of games this season, and threw a terrible INT that was a back-breaker as far as the outcome of the game. Short of getting hit with heavy NCAA sanctions, this is pretty much rock-bottom.

I mean yeah the players certainly have to be held accountable for the way they have played this year but if people can;t see Edsall and his coaching staff are the biggest problem I don;t know what to tell you. As mentioned above DOB was looking fairly solid considering some huge drops through the first quarter or so and inexplicably Brown is in the game. Then after a nice scoring drive by Brown, DOB is back in the game. Then at the start of the 4th when your down 15 and need to move the ball quickly, Brown, the non throwing QB, is back in the game for a couple of series. Oh, Im not done, after falling down 18 with 10 min or so left finally DOB is back in the game to finish it off. What an absolute cluster F****.

When it comes to starting quarterbacks, if you have two you don't have any.

And can we put the whole tougher schedule thing to rest now too? Yeah, last year's schedule was a bit easier, but not so much easier that you go from a 9-win team to a 2-win team. Just look at the last two weeks. The Terps were manhandled (at home) by two teams that they beat last season (on the road).

The teams the Terps beat last year in the ACC were 27-37 in conference. 3 of their 5 wins came against 1-7 Wake, 1-7 UVA and 1-7 Duke. The only team they beat that had a winning conference record was 5-3 NC State.

The teams they have played this year are 18-14 in conference to date.

Some discipline off the field and in the classroom was needed. But this was not a team that needed to be "broken down." And I've seen nothing to indicate that we have the coaching staff that can build them back up either. As OregonBird says, they're playing worse with each game. Even with a bad team you would expect to see some improvement in areas as the season wears on.

Well, as usual with you and I on this forum, we disagree.

Where is the talent on this team?

Matt Furstenberg is pretty good. Anyone else?

Neither QB can throw with any degree of accuracy, and on the off-times that they do, the receivers drop the ball.

Honestly the secondary is probably the most talented unit on the field, but they're so busy needing to come up and help stop the run that they have trouble defending the pass.

The D-line is not even competitive. No pressure at all on the QB. No ability to stop the run.

Regarding the coaching staff, I am almost certain you will see Bradford replaced at season's end. I think everyone was skeptical about him to start the season and he's done little to inspire confidence otherwise.

I would like to see Crowton gone as well, but I am guessing he will be back. His playcalling really is quite confusing at best.
