I did want to add Tom Davis is still doing his Take Me Out to the Ballgame show on MASN. He has been doing it from a local Weis grocery store lately. In the summer he was outside somewhere. He gets his own sponsorship for the show.
Exactly.
Both teams do the pre and post at home when their teams are at home. When they are on the road the same building hosts both teams. I think it is near Hunt Valley somewhere. I hardly ever watched it but since Covid they stopped the Mid-Atlantic Sports Report as well. I half wonder if they ditched that building?
It must be costly to do a studio show in general. I would think the ones from the Stadiums were cheaper since you are using your own building and cameras already there. Of course no show you are saving labor costs for both.
It’s pathetic is what it is. It looks amateurish. You could see they were moving on from some people based on their hires last year. Bordick is a surprise a little bit. The rest were going to be cut back or in the case of Johnson weren’t used much anyway.
Im Not putting any twist on it. You are.
Im stating facts.
You aren’t really giving any thoughts on anything. You just want to tip Toe around the questions. Yes, he was an underslot pick to spend money later. That’s part of it.
But why else did they take him? Do you think they punted on the pick? Do you think they took a player they don’t think is good?
I get it that your entire position is based on nerds rating players that they know very little about and that you can’t see past that but why Kjerstad? What do you think they think of him?
Do you think Elias can’t evaluate talent? Do you think that while his purpose has been to lose and get a high pick that he would then take that pick and on purposely screw it up?
Well maybe they tried in Pre draft discussions and had an idea of how much extra money they would likely need. You don’t know how much each guy was asking to be selected 2nd. I think it was a very well thought out approach. But, you can certainly put any twist on it you’d like.
