Been watching again... and again and again Yoyoka, the 10-year-old Japanese girl's drum version of this. Here's a live early version (1983) by the Police themselves.
Sting is an incredible talent! His bass playing is amazing, much underrated, his voice is very very good and his songwriting is HOF calibre. Andy Summers' guitar skills are legendary I have to post my favorite solo of his... But for me, a dedicated guitar guy, Stewart Copeland just DOMINATES every one of their recordings! Head and shoulders above the other two!
That's why I LOVE 3-piece bands. For them to be really big stars, serious, all-time band, they have to be, all 3 members, way more talented than anyone else. Cream, Rush, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, ZZ Top, for me B.L.T. Robin Trower,
The only reason you’d put them on the team and not in the rotation is because someone won the spot in the rotation over them. It is unlikely that they’d both be unable to win a rotation spot and yet be desirable enough to keep in the pen until they are needed, especially as NRIs. Most likely result is they either win a rotation spot outright, or they don’t make the team.
And while trying to restore order and respect in the game the "law and order" type WOULDN'T be focused on changing the very nature of the game with 3-batter rules and pitch clocks and all the ridiculous ideas Manfred has.
Mob mentality right or wrong, anything that gets Manfred OUT of the game is just fine with me! The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
