Orioles announce they have signed outfielder Quintin Berry to a minor league deal

Recommended Posts

New Rule: After a minor league signing anyone who says "print the playoff tickets," in a derisive way gets smacked in the head.

By you? Cause if it's by you, I don't think you can smack too hard.

Playoff tickets baby! I love this signing! This guy has some upside. Watch out Sox, Yanks and Rays! The 2014 Orioles are coming to play!

The playoff tickets are already printed after the Lough signing. It's time to BUY the playoff tickets!

Oh man, I was ready to buy the playoff tickets after we signed Liam Hendricks.

Can ST just get here already?

That's really more of a Yankee m.o. isn't it?

It was closer when you posted that. When I read it it was closer still. When I typed this it was yet closer. And now it's closer too.

Why did Boston let him go? He has beastlike #'s. He batted .625!

I know, small sample size.

350 OPS+ isn't too bad either! ;)

You know, you have to go all the way back to 2011 to find an American League team in the World Series without Berry on the roster.

So, there's that

Since Ryan Berry was released and Tim Berry is still in the organization, this signing reestablishes the Berry Equilibrium at 2.

Plus, I heard Darryl Strawberry is available!

Quintin Berry has never been on a team that didn't go on to make the World Series.

I like the signing. Had a decent stint with the Tigers, is a very good basestealer, and is best friends with Adam Jones if I remember correctly.

I like it too.
