From Roch yesterday:
The master plan calls for Heston Kjerstad, the second-overall pick in the 2020 draft, to play right field for a long time, but he won’t be ready this summer. He doesn’t have a single professional at-bat and is ticketed for the low minors - whether it’s the Gulf Coast League or one of the Single-A affiliates.

I think he accepted less with the first pick in order to overslot later. Didn’t like the pick when it was made and still think we passed on the BPA. I don’t have anything against Kjerstad and as an Oriole fan want him to be a good major league player. I thought it was pretty obvious the approach that the organization took....guess I’m mistaken 😉.
BTW, I never buy anything that these guys tell reporters, media etc to justify a move.
How I see it: MASN lost the rights fees case and has to pay higher fees to the teams for the game rights, so they’re trying to force the teams to pay more of the costs relating to game-day coverage. I see the logic of it but this could really blow up in their face. Fans certainly want a quality pre- and post-game show, and if they don’t get it this will certainly hurt MASN’s ratings and drive fans away.
I'm fine with the personnel changes but I'm a bit at a loss when it comes to cutting the pre and post game shows.
Edit- I get it now. The O's are being petty toward the Nats. Killing their own product to force the Nats to do their own on relatively short notice.
I see the opposite. To me it looks more like someone trying to squeeze every penny out of their asset. I can't see a potential buyer caring about an expense at this level.
