At the plate, maybe so. But after he's had eight years in organized baseball, almost all of it at third base, I don't see Rio's defense improving with some more experience. And his defense is the reason I don't want to see him out there, especially as younger pitchers who are potential keepers arrive on the scene. Even more so for those who have some potential to be and are trying to be ground-ball pitchers.
Pathetic end to the regular season, losing to Northwestern and Penn State. Disappointed but not surprised because this is par for the course for Turgeon. Seems like the team has fallen off a cliff every March since he’s been here. Hopefully we miss the tournament and Turgeon is shown the door.
