Harvey has Setback - Elbow Tightness, MRI next

Recommended Posts

Bundy still hurt and now per Roch's blog getting evaluated again? Enough!

Can you have two Tommy Johns? Get ready....

Sounds like Harvey is destined for that as well.

Sickening.

Can you do me a favor?

Please?

Can you stop bumping a post about Harvey to talk about Bundy?

I keep thinking there is an update to Harvey's condition.

Thanks in advance.

PS- You can't get TJ surgery on your shoulder.

In case you missed the link because it was in a thread about Jason Garcia (as I did), Harvey has been cleared to begin a throwing program.

Fingers crossed. I'd say I'm cautiously optimistic. But I'd be lying.

Even in the optimistic scenario where he is fully recovered and has avoided surgery, he's lost virtually an entire year of development. By the time he's cleared to throw in a game, there will be at most a couple of weeks left in the season.

Is that the "good news" or the "bad news"? :scratchchinhmm: ;)

Well if he needs surgery now then a lot of 2016 will be similarly compromised.

Has he had the PRP panacea yet?

Sure. But if he could get back and log 20-30 decent innings at Frederick it would at least be a boost going into the offseason.

Wonder if they send him to the AFL or have him rest.

Great question.. I think he's be a good candidate for the AFL.
