Biggest Comeback in Team History

Recommended Posts

No Redskin team had ever comeback to win a game after being down by 24 points before they did it against the Bucs yesterday. The previous team record for a comeback was 21 points, which they had done twice. Pretty impressive.

You like that! You like that!

The Bucs are pretty bad. No reason to fall that far behind. It was very exciting though.

They should use the 2 minute offense at different times during a game to spark the offense.

Sorry, I am not impressed.

They sucked the first quarter and in "code red" crunch game, came out flatter than flat, and it looked like they gave up on the coach. What was the first quarter, 250+ yards of offense allowed?

Hats off to Kirk for the comeback, yes.

The Redskin team I grew up watching didn't fall behind by 24 points very often.

Takes a pretty dubious team to fall behind by 24 to a team as bad as the Bucs.

Spot on, for sure.

As one of the old time Skin radio beat reporter said, that first quarter was as bad as any he had seen in all of his years of covering the team.

Of course the Bucs aren't very good, but to come back from down 24 against any team in the National Football League is quite an accomplishment. That they turned around their season-long abysmal play in the third quarter is quite the step forward, IMO. Kudos are deserved here, and I see no reason to dwell on the negative when the positive outweighs it.

true.

you make a good point.

But, let's not take this huge accomplishment and over evaluate this current team either.

Agreed. Much work still left to do.

This is a developmental year for the Redskins. If they are able to play .500ish ball and if Cousins can establish himself as a decent NFL QB, that will represent progress after two years of disarray. Give the GM another offseason to build the roster (I think he did a good job last offseason) and I think in 2016 the Redskins could challenge for a division title, if Cousins makes enough progress.

The rest of their division is in turmoil this season, would have been a great time for a halfway decent team to take a stab at winning the division.

Not sold on Gruden yet, as head coach material.

They spent so much on RG3, this really hurt their future drafts.

Yes, they did a very good draft last season, and its looking like they are trying to put together a good crew in the FO.
