Updates on Hunter Harvey

Whether shutting him down now is beneficial or not would really depend on exactly what the “soreness“ is. I don’t know how significant an extra 30 or 40 pitches over the next week are, but again it would depend on exactly what is sore and why . Has anybody gotten any additional information at all?

Sore biceps is the official clause.

Not sure how legit that is.

Hopefully, its just his body showing signs that he threw enough innings.

Rest and treatment and see how he is in ST

Harvey had never pitched a 5 month season, let alone 6 months. He’s still in the early stages of his professional development. No need to push him in a lost season.

Smart to shut him down, but I’ll be honest: I’m not optimistic that he’ll ever stay healthy enough to be a major factor for us.    He just seems very fragile.    I’m glad he got through a full MiL season without any major disruptions and gave us a taste of what he could do at the major league level if he can stay in one piece.   He’s fun to watch.

How do you know he had no major disruptions?

Are you aware of any?

Seems unlikely if they brought him up and pitched him, esp. the 30+ pitch inning that has received so much questioning.

I mean, he didn’t miss any significant time.

I'm sitting next to the bullpen and saw the hair. My bad.

Are you in this capture Legend?
