No real surprises. They all come from different levels in the organization, with a few having played in Bowie.

Let me preface this by saying I have no idea what the instructional leauge is all about other than the obvious title. But why isn't Sisco there if he needs to work on his defense?

Same reason he isn't playing winter league ball.

Catching takes a lot of a player.

His games caught jumped from 74 to 87.

True. His bat doesn't need the work. I'm sure the stuff he needs to work on he can probably do it in gym shorts minus the catching gear.

Plus it's only about 2 weeks. This is mainly for new(er) players, for coaches to see what they have, or those that were injured or still coming back from an injury. There are already 5 catchers going.

I'd expect him to be a non-roster invitee to Spring Training to get some serious work there.
