Maybe we see BOTH Aquino AND Asher tonight

Recommended Posts

Unless I missed it, I believe Alec Asher is still on the roster(Icould be wrong). If that is the case why not use a combination of Aquino AND Asher on Saturday? Maybe thats the plan. If Aquino is hit hard or tires, maybe Asher will be called upon to put out an early fire. We'll see. I still believe Asher deserved to start vs. the Red Sox, but maybe Buck knows something we dont know. I hope he does.

Asher is still on the roster, it was Wilson that was optioned. Hopefully Aquino pitches well and this isn't an issue.

Buck mentioned this on the postgame that we could see both. He said they won't need a 5th starter until May sometime and they want to see both and will need both this year.

I agree that I wish Asher was starting tonight, as I think he deserves it. I like Aquino and am eager to see if he's got a chance to be a ML starter, but I think Asher should've gotten the chance to back up his impressive performance last weekend. Oh well.

Hope we only see Aquino and Brach. Maybe O'day.

I'd really be surprised if Buck doesn't give Brach a breather tonight!

Aquino tossed six innings, striking out eight, walking none and giving up only one unearned run for the Tides last weekend. So maybe he can turn in a similar performance tonight. Heck, maybe Aquino and Asher will be studs all year and the Orioles can just trade Tillman at the deadline. xD

I just didnt see Aquino  as a real option for SP. How did he pitch in the spring? What does anyone know about him? LHP right?

Pitched well in ST. had a poor first start in Norfolk, pitched well last time out.

A guy who was busted for PEDs doesn't deserve anything. But he pitched well first time and I am glad to have him as long as he does.
