That is about the stupidest end to a game I have ever seen.  Almost like the triple play.  Brach lucked out but we are going to be hurting with him as full time closer.

Britton is at least three weeks out. At least.

Figures, after Wieters doubled, I checked in on the Caps game and missed the end.

It is over but isn't over.

Imagine plugging in 2016 Britton into the 2017 Orioles, with Brach in the 8th (where he belongs) and O'Day in the 7th, with Givens lurking in the sixth. One can dream.

Just wait about 6 weeks.

That's five in a row guys. After that debacle in NY, I was worried. But we're good.

Yeah - that was because it was New York and they are gods.

I like our chances a lot with Tilly and Gausman pitching well.

6-8 weeks. Sounds like from what Gary said.

You know he can never, ever, throw another breaking pitch.

If it was up to me, O'Day would be the closer. Last Sunday's blunder against the Yankees aside, O'Day has historically been lights out in save situations (1.99 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, .581 opposing OPS). O'Day's a veteran who's very mentally tough, he's starting to pitch better AND they're paying him closer money anyway. Might as well have him be the man to fill in for Zach until he returns from the DL.

Can we finally retire the notion that Rickard is an above average defender.  An above average defensive outfielder catches that ball.

It was the sort of flyball that Hunter Pence catches with his body going in six directions all at the same time.

Sorry thought you meant Caps game.

Well the Oilers blew a 3 goal lead, maybe the Caps can blow a 5 goal lead.
