2018 A - Delmarva Shorebirds

If Baumann dominates today (and he has started that way) he should be promoted to Frederick. He's 22-1/2 years old. No reason to have such a logjam of pitching talent on a 6 man rotation in Delmarva.

Buck Britton for Manager of the Year!    He must think he’s died and gone to heaven, with the pitching he’s getting.

There’s also a logjam at Frederick. I think it’ll be several weeks at least before anyone is moved.

Who is Will Robertson?

2017 30th round draft pick, was good as a very old-for-level player in the GCL last season.

Yup - seems like things like that usually happen early to mid June.  It'll be interesting to see Lowther and Wells together - both "soft-tossing" lefties that miss bats.  If you look at their pictures on milb.com, they even look alike and appear to be wearing the same glasses. But Wells already has a twin brother who pitches.  Triplets?  Nah, Lowther's a bigger guy.  Well, Lowther and Baumann probably should be in Frederick now, but in the meantime they can work on their weaknesses and still dominate.  As long as they're both up in early to mid June, their development should be somewhat normal.

Someone who isn't in danger.

Ok, bad "Lost In Space" joke.

Whenever I see his name, can't help but picture the robot flailing his "arms" even it's Robertson instead of Robinson.

Plot twist: Long lost triplets!

I don't remember any pitcher moves last year (well, big ones) and the main ones being Mountcastle, Hays, and Wilkerson to Bowie, with Dosch to Norfolk, along with some org guys moving (Nathans released, Kemp retiring, and Davis moved from Bowie to Frederick.)

Maybe by June though, Hall and Fenter will be stretched enough for 5 innings each, which will fill the rotation with a Baumann Or Lowther promotion.

A big difference though, last year, Akin and Sedlock started at Frederick. I'd agree if Lowther and Baumann started in Frederick, but they didn't. Lowther was more dominant in Aberdeen than Akin and pitched many more innings. Baumann performed pretty equally to Sedlock in Aberdeen and also pitched more innings. So their placements are notably more conservative which should lead to more a more aggressive timeline for promotion if deserved.

What about Wells last season? It was his first full season (like Lowther and Baumann) but he stayed in Delmarva. He wasn't exactly slacking either.
