Everyone complains the MLB team is terrible defensively and has no OBP. We draft a good glove at SS with a .420 OBP and everyone still complains. Tough crowd.

So what. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. They shouldn't have one because you say so?

So I don’t know, let’s see how day 2 plays out.

Firstly, love all your insights on these guys.  Very much appreciated.

Regarding your comment above, absolutely true.  With the MLB draft especially you really need to wait to see how the whole thing plays out.

When your house is burning down, running out to the store to browse fire extinguishers is not a solution.

I never thought Zac Lowther would be a thing.

But is he a "dude" or "just a guy"?  Asking for a friend....

For the record, I don't think I've ever been to Essex.

My wife's aunt lives there, has a place right on the water.  Beautiful spot actually.

This is all very important.

Well according to Rene88, if you haven't left Essex you're not qualified to speak about steroids in the 90s.

Anyway, after sleeping on it I am ambivalent on the Rodriguez pick.  I can see why they liked him but as with anything that the Orioles do I remain skeptical.  I don't think he's a Hobgood.

Is Mike Siana related to the wide receiver of the same name who played for the Colts in the late 70s?

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, this guy’s dad is a “distant cousin” of the former NFLer Mike Siani.

Everything looks bleak from our current position.  I think last years draft shapes up as being pretty strong.  We should probably give these guys more credit for knowing what they are doing.  I think the stuff I read on the two newest draftees is pretty good.  Time will tell, but it will be hard for many to get past the bigger known names that were available.

I'll say Moose has it right.  Skeptical, to be sure, but optimistic.

Rajsich is one of a few in the org I don't think is an idiot... so, I'll find some excitement for these two kids.  I like them, just thought both were picked early.  If they turn into useful parts it won't matter.

I feel more comfortable with the Shortstop pick as read that he was the best defender in the draft.  Read that the pitcher sits at 90 to 94.  And one time got up to 97mph.  I discard those one time reads.  Sees scouts here and throws one really hard pitch is meaningless to me.  Not that a pitcher in 90 to 94 range can't succeed but it appears that they are taking meaningless 97 mph pitch into consideration.

So I guess the year Wade Boggs went from 8 homers to 24 and then back down to 5, he must have been juicing.  Or the year that Lou Gehrig went from 16 homers to 47, he must have been juicing.

Wait, wait, wait...I know, I know.  The year Davey Johnson went from 5 homers to 43 homers, he HAD to have been on steroids.

It never amazes me how naive people are, lol.

Well Bordick went from being a skinny guy to muscle bound dude in one off season.  And he had no power before 32.  He was sitting at mid 600 OPS until then and suddenly at 32 he can hit with power. Come on.  Well I guess you don't think Canseco was on steroids either..

I strongly question if he will hit enough.

Of course, there are many guys that juiced up.

But, not everybody in the world juices, just because some do.
