Machado Trade Expectations

Machado Trade Expectations

  1. 1. Regarding the return we receive, what are your expectations of whatever Machado trade takes place?

    • The return will be outstanding.
    • The return will be solid.
    • The return will be merely decent.
    • The return will be poor.
    • The return will be just terrible.
    • I expect we will not trade him at all, getting only a compensation pick in next year's draft.

I could live with that as long as we get an IF prospect or 2. The O's system is pretty weak there.

What about our new third, I mean first, round draft pick?

Sixto, Gamboa, Brito and a lottery ticket would do it for me.

Add De Los Santos and I'm headed to Philly to drive them all to Camden Yards.

I believe the topic was infielders.

I believe that infielder got the pitcher.

If I had to bet, Manny gets traded right after the all star game.  In the meantime keep Manny wrapped up in bubble tape.

I'm still holding out hope for tonight.

I think ownership wants Manny to play in the all star game.  If the right offer comes through I make the trade ASAP.

Don't wait for something bad to happen.

I'm not sure if it's THAT big of deal (AS game). There was a couple of insiders who said we may want to keep him through it since it's right down the road with the whole MASN ordeal but I'm not really sure why that'd matter. I guess we'll see.

And then there were two.

If I had to bet I'd say at least one or two more teams will jump back in.

Now, they have qualified for the National League post-season tournament.   Marlins Beat Yankees in Extra-Innings, Clinch First Playoff Berth Since 2003 (By Jordan McPherson) https://www.miamiherald.com/sports/mlb/miami-marlins/article245998685.html   o
    • This is the Orioles' fourth losing season in a row. Someone who's been a fan for 50 years undoubtedly remembers that the team went 14 seasons in a row with losing records from 1998 through 2011. Then the next year they made the playoffs and won their first round game and all of a sudden it was a lot of fun again. The good times will come again.  Can't guarantee it'll be next year, but they will come.
    • You’re right about some things, wrong about others. watch and see if things get better. I think they will.
    • I think at the moment, we get the 8th pick
