  1. 1. What trade return do you expect for Zach Britton?

    • The return will be outstanding
    • The return will be solid
    • The return will be merely decent
    • The return will comparable to Colin Moran: low OBP, below average power, poor fielder with a limited future in MLB
    • The return will be worse than Colin Moran
    • The Orioles will not trade Britton and will not receive a compensation pick since there is no chance they will QO him.

Amaya is, and Marquez looks to be on that way with great stuff. Top 100 prospect standing for 19 year olds is not how I value then. If you think a 19 yr old displaying that offensive ability while being heralded like he is defensively isn't a great piece than idk what to say.

I agree that Amaya/Marquez makes for a quality package and I am not sure bidding is beyond that at this point, but it sounds from reports that the bidding is getting beyond what the Cubs can or will offer.  It would be nice to hear names from Hou and NYY.

Agreed.

Just saying Amaya is a legit centerpiece candidate.

Perfect. You always want the Yankees and sawx involved in any bidding war. Just to drive the price up.

This really is reaching a nice crescendo.  Glad we did not deal him as soon as possible as advocated by quite a few here.  Our FO has played this out very well.

Now we just need a team to go a little crazy in this bidding war.  Boston is not a deep system and not particularly strong at the top though they have plenty of 18/19 year old lottery tickets.  IMO, there are only two headliners for Boston - Groome - who is injured - and Chavis.  Hmm....

Jives with Ken's report that it's a four hourse race between BOS, NYY, CHC, and HOU.

Just seems like it's gotta be the Astros, especially if they've sweetened their offer in the last day or two.

I know the Yankees supposedly did as well, but what does that mean for them? They actually included one real prospect? Not just Brandon Drury straight up?

Yankees with Drury and the rules 5 we took this spring, is more than a fair deal.

Drury is already headed into his arbitration years. I'm not sure why we would want him.
