Looks kind’ve small.   Do we know anything about him?

Not I. And Yes. But, at that age they are just children.

O’s have signed free agent SS Sean Miller. He’s originally from Crofton, and he played in AA Chattanooga last year, a Minnesota affiliate.

Glove first org guy to shore up upper level defense.

A Bowie assignment would be sweet for him if he stays.  Thanks!

Really depends what they do with Clare, McCoy, Griener, Hall, and Carmona, along with Clay Fisher (drafted then DL'ed in Delmarva for the season as he was recovering from Tommy John surgery.)

Thanks yeah - I hope the real prospects are good enough to make any jumps possible.  McCoy seems eligible if he continues his success.  Miller doesn't look like anything special but his Crofton upbringing has to be cool for him.  I look forward to your reports this year (and Doc Shorebird's) with more anticipation!  I'm drinking the "special sauce"!

I missed this article, which likely played into Miller’s release from Chattanooga. My question is— did he finish his suspension?

It appears that he did and then was released.

Suspended July 4th, released August 28th. Should be about 50 games.

Aderlin Rodriguez has signed a minors contract with SD.

Our A Rod has finally departed.  He always had some pop.  I'll miss seeing him lighting up the boxscores.

    • Yeah, agree with your second point, it's not a huge deal. And agree it's probably mainly a style of play issue. But with regard to your first point, back when we were in the ACC it felt like things were way more balanced (other than blatant ref bias in Duke games, and maybe UNC games). There were actually games back in the day where it felt like we'd get favoritism against the bottom feeders. Even our current out of conference games, you might see an extra call or two go our way. Simply doesn't happen in conference games. Guess it's the big ten style of play and the fact Turgeon rarely has had big inside bangers (other than Fernando). I do wonder how much of it is the intangible of how well the coach works the refs.
    • Wow, Delmon bringing to life the phrase, “Someone put up a tent, the circus has come to town!”
    • Yep.  We usually sat in the upper deck so the first glimpse of the green grass was walking up the ramps but as a little kid I wasn't tall enough to see over the side walls of the ramps to glimpse the green without jumping up.
    • Thanks very much.  I’m glad to.  I didn’t make it to the Braves game as I don’t do the road games so we’re sorry about that.  The positive is that I use those days, like tomorrow to visit the minor league complex and let you guys know what I see and learn there.  I didn’t see that prospect Langaliers behind the plate, but I think his hit was Carroll’s one that he gave up in Cody’s otherwise clean IP.     As far as Davis, my notes from the AB in the first inning was a little bit of patience as he sat on two down and in pitches consecutively before walking.  And then I guess it was a pleasant surprise to see a little opp field single dropped in too.  But at the workouts and practice sessions where I’m watching him play defense he looks solid with the glove and not slower because of the additional weight.  Turning and throwing with accuracy is in no way an issue.  Getting to balls and hops is in no way an issue.   I didn’t see the Sisco tag that you were taking about.  Was he showing good D too?
    • So, he’s improving the third time through. He’s a nugget.
    • Or a left fielder, or a right fielder.
