OD Lineup Predictions

Recommended Posts

They'll be up against Severino. Here's my HOT TAKE prediction. Please read this in Steven A. Smith's voice:

SS - Villar

RF - Adam Jones

1B - Mancini

DH - Davis

3B - Nunez

LF - Stewart

2B - Adeiny Hechavarria

C - Wynns

CF - Mullins

P - Cobb

I can't see them not signing some guys with how slow Free Agency has been. I also can't see them ideally wanting to throw two Rule 5 guys into starting action right away.

Villar 2B

Stewart LF

Mancini 1B

Davis DH

Nunez 3B

Rickard RF

Martin SS

Wynns C

Mullins CF

I’m perfectly fine moving Mullins into the lead off role IF he can have some sustained success.

If I had my way Mancini would never see the OF grass again and Davis would have to prove himself after two atrocious seasons back to back, just like Mullins.

I don't know. Seems like some RF in 2A or 3A would be better to give a chance than Rickard. I don't keep up with the O's minor leagues. I would hope there would be someone that needs a chance besides Rickard all the time.

Several of our top prospects are outfielders in the upper minors, but they need additional seasoning and there is no reason to rush them.  There is nothing wrong from having Rickard be a place holder for half a season until someone like Austin Hays or Yusniel Diaz is ready to step in.  I like the OF defense with Stewart-Mullins-Rickard from left to right.

That’s exactly how I’d line up the OF.

For opening day this would be my guess:

Mullins - CF

Villar - 2B

Mancini - DH

Davis - 1B

Nunez - 3B

Stewart - LF

Sisco - C

Rickard - RF

Martin - SS

Not exactly inspiring but based on who is here I think it will look like this at least to start the season

I doubt Sisco is the C.
