That's super skewed by his 7ER in 1IP against Tampa Bay.  That game very much did happen, but worth noting how concentrated that is.

How about today. Is that enough to skew things?

Not really.    And for our staff, “only” allowing 6 ER in 5.2 IP against the Yankees amounts to a victory.    I might add that the final two runs could have been avoided by Bleier.

The final two runs could have been avoided by Hyde not bringing in Bleier.

If the light has come on and Dylan can be this guy we’d have a valuable piece

The light tends to come on when pitchers face teams like Kansas City instead of New York or Boston.   But I did like the way Bundy was going after hitters.

Agreed ...but he looked much better the last start as well.

His last start was similar and his sequencing has improved. He seems to be making more of a conscious effort to pitch backwards instead of establishing and featuring the FB. Doesn’t hurt he’s had better command of his secondaries recently.

Also, encouraging his velocity has ticked up in the middle to later innings.

Thought he had a decent outing.   The infield error and Santander’s bad break on a soft fly ball that landed in front of him hurt him, but he also benefitted from good defense on a couple of occasions.

I didn’t think the fly ball in front of Santander was playable, but maybe you’re right if he doesn’t break back.

Bundy was quite as sharp as he had been the two starts prior (10 base runners in 5 IP), but still good enough. As you said, decent outing.

Sad when a 2.0  WHIP is a decent outing, but with the present state of baseball and especially Orioles baseball it was "decent"

2 ER vs a good team is a decent outing.

Bundy’s a pretty smart/scrappy pitcher. I think it comes down to what stuff he has and who the opponent is.

Although I also noted in my post he had too many base runners, he did limit the damage. Limiting the opposition to two runs in 5IP with 10 guys on base is actually good.
