August 27, O’s vs. Nats, Juan Soto hits it in the 1st inning against Wojciechowski.   The ball travels 411 feet and ties the game at 1-1.

What do I get when I’m right?

wrong.  close, but wrong.  That hit will be reviewed and determined that it was not a homerun and Soto will be called back to second base.

It’s worth mentioning, I guess, that the Mariners and Phillies are also likely to break the record for HR allowed, though we are far ahead of them.

August  31st against the Royals- Dozier. Ynoa- 5th inning.

Optimistic on two fronts:

-- making it all the way to the last day of August, later than most of the other folks chosen dates

-- Ynoa still pitching in the 5th inning

Six more HR allowed tonight...229 HR allowed for the season, only 29 more to go.  I'll take Friday, August 23 against Tampa Bay.  David Hess (come on, it HAS to be David Hess) will give up HR 259 to Avisail Garcia in the 6th inning.

32 HRs in 8 games by NY this year is also a record for any visiting team, breaking a mark last set in 1957 (29).  The surprising thing is NY "only" has 9 vs Baltimore in 5 games at Yankee Stadium .  Anyhoo, tack on 5 more the next two nights from them.

6 Yankees hit HRs tonight.  Ford, Torres, Judge - all slackers, no HR for them.
38 Road, 9 home, 47 HRs vs Baltimore in 14 games.  151 vs rest of MLB in 99 games.

At this rate I'll say Sunday against the 'Stros. 8th inning, Alex Bregman off... pick one. Givens.

Extra prediction, it'll be into the visiting bullpen.

Can I change my answer to August 7?    What a pathetic display last night.

Me too. What was i thinking to go to the end of the month? It would be apropos if Stevie would give it up or Hess.

Image result for hess rescue truck

Hess causes fires and no ladder can rescue or catch his pitches.
