Last year, we lost the season series to every AL opponent.   We only won season series from Braves (2-1) and Mets (3-1).

This year, we have already won the season series from the Angels and split with the White Sox.   We will either split or win vs KC depending on how today's game goes.

September 1 roster moves:

-- Shawn Armstrong activated from IL

-- Dwight Smith Jr called up (and in the lineup)

   -- Tanner Scott called up

   -- Brendan Kline called up

Roster is at 29.   Word is Trumbo and Wynns will join the team in Tampa.   Being activated from the 60 day DL, Trumbo will necessitate removal of someone from the 40 man roster.

O's put up an early run.   After Alberto's hit, Mancini walks.   Alberto tags on a Santander flyout and goes to 3rd, and scores on a sac fly by Nunez.

I think we have hit our share of sac flies this year, my impression is we've been better at getting the runner in from 3rd with less than two outs than we had the past few years.   Not sure how to look that up and confirm it, though.

It wasn't so long ago that Danny Duffy was a real good pitcher.

I wonder whether Hyde likes to see a LH starter on the opposing team so he doesn't have to think about whether to start Davis.

Smith Jr is really good at making routine plays look difficult. Almost stumbled over his own feet going back for that ball.

Well, I gotta go.  Taking my sister out to dinner for her birthday.   I'll be back around the 13th or 14th inning.

I was at the game where Brooks & company shut out the Nats Tuesday.   Guess he used up a lot of mojo on that one.
