Insomnia sucks

Over the years I’ve tried it all. I tried ambien and some of its relatives. My wife woke me while I was standing in the garage trying to open the card door, when I was standing in our closet about to urinate in a dirty clothes basket because apparently I thought I was in the bathroom, etc. I’m working with a sleep specialist now but nothing they’ve had me do has had more than a very fleeting effect including nasal surgery, bipap machine, etc. Makes me very miserable at times.

Sorry to hear, maybe the sleep specialist can do a sleep study and you have sleep apnea?

DIdnt work for me.

I think we all have different reasons why we dont sleep through the night.

For me, bad back and rotator cuff issues, usually one of them wakes me up, and once awake, visit the potty and try to get back to sleep and usually more than once a night.

I have the same issues as you, and generally take a nighttime ibuprofen combined with the melatonin. The recommended dosage of two leaves me groggy in the morning.

sometimes RX strength and 4 Advil does work, and while my doctor tells me, that amount twice a day is safe, I hate to get hooked, and then end up having to move up to something stronger.

Was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea, hence the machine. I was optimistic that this specialist was going to help, but after almost a year of working with this person I'm not optimistic. I do need to lose 30 lbs. That does help some.

I was diagnosed with mild, and the insurance giant, said they do not provide the machine for mild, you have to be worse off.

Maybe after this time period, it might be worth seeking another specialist, as they are not all created equal.

I lost 60 pounds, and it still hasnt help one iota.

i wish you the very best in your search of a solution

I have the same issues, bad back (and down my right leg) and rotator cuffS. Doesn't wake me up tho. Yes, because of beer I sleep like a baby. I do however wake up start awake many times after 5 or 6 hours. Just from deep sleep to wide awake. I've learned to just get up, fire up my computer and waste some time, Not one drop of coffee. Take my morning drugs, several of which help or cause sleep. Go back to bed in 2 hours or stay up and take a nap in the afternoon. Tossing and turning in bed is never going to be sleep.

I can't multi quote it right but I like waking up and having to go to the potty. Every night please! Let's play two! Makes the night seem longer to me.
