Hey guys, have you ever gotten a chill while standing at the toilet?
They have a new medicine for that, I think it's called pennicillian? Something like that.

    • One thing about the "Old" days, between WTOP  and WBAL AM radio had the areas pretty well coverage, and at night, WBAL could get some pretty nice skips down to southern md and PA.
    • I’m old enough to remember when the NBA draft was ten rounds; now it’s two.    The NFL draft was 17 rounds in 1975; today its 7 rounds.        Baseball is a different beast, but I’m not surprised they’d like to cut the draft way back.      Interestingly, I decided to look back on our past drafts to see how many late round picks made the majors.    In the very first year I looked at, 2000, our 32nd through 36th picks all made the majors — and they’re the only players we drafted that year who did!   Of course, 4 of those 5 didn’t sign with the O’s that summer and were drafted again later, in much higher rounds.     The only one we actually signed was Kirk Birkins, who we drafted as an outfielder in the 33rd round and was later converted to a pitcher, where he had a brief career as a roughly replacement level pitcher (-0.4 rWAR in 75.1 innings spread over three seasons).
    • When I was 10 the worst problem I had in the world was that my bedtime was 8:30 or 9:00, which meant I went to bed in the 5th or 6th or 7th inning all the time, and had to sneak a transistor radio under my pillow to make it to the 9th.  Today 8:30 is sometimes the bottom of the 3rd. Now that I'm 48 it's an annoying problem that my kids can't stay up for the 5th inning, and I'm often asleep before the game is over.  They don't own transistor radios, and they probably couldn't pick up the O's game anyway.
    • Not trying to be smart, but I thought Cal had sold off his share of the Aberbeen, along with another of his minor league holders. Nobody said why, but, shortly later, his divorce became public, and people assume he was putting together her part of the holdings.
    • I'm don't think I'm making any large leaps assuming that Aberdeen is hands-off because of Cal Ripken.
    • Why should Delmarva get sacrificed?  After all, they were the Minor League Team of the Year and has a modern stadium in Salisbury.  Screw convenience... it's nice to have professional baseball come through the Eastern Shore since 1996 and I don't see why that should be tampered with.  An increase in affiliation could lead to the team putting more seats down the left and right side of the diamond to encourage more revenue to accommodate their increased affiliation.
    • At this point, this is throwing good money after bad.  Any appeal is almost certain to be doomed.  What error has the court committed to warrant review?  Angelos just lived through one of his biggest fears.  The Nats winning a World Series.
