2020 Draft Pick: What If We Tie with Marlins

Recommended Posts

What happens if we finish with the same exact record as the Marlins? Who gets the #2 pick?

I don't think the Marlins will win another game this year.

I don't know why you think that the Marlins would not win another game.    They have won 4 out of the last 10 and they play the Mets and Phillies.  Both those teams have been eliminated and have nothing to play for.

O’s win all ties because of last years record.

and we keep the number 1 pick from going through their farm system and ending up on the parent club, the Yankees. :):):)

Yea, that Stanton deal is looking great for the Yanks so far.

But it worked well last season, to a 4.0 WAR.

Yes, he sucked this year.

There maybe more left in his tank, we shall see.

So far the returns haven't been great.  The Yankees haven't "made out" on the deal.  Stanton would only waive his no trade clause to go to the Yankees, the Marlins had no leverage in the deal.

the way, I see it, the Yankees are 1 for 1, 1 very very good year, and 1 total suck year.

So how he plays next season, will tilt the bar in one direction or another.

You think 4 wins is a very, very good year?  For 25M?  He put up almost twice that (7.9) the year before.  His rWAR has gone 7.9, 4.0, .4.

i know you like to argue every thing. :) :) :)

But, hey, you dont think 4 times a replacement player is a really good year ok. My bad, so delete one of the very, I used too many

Four times zero is zero bud.  😉

I think declining from 7.9 to 4 means it was a disappointing year.
