Bolsinger is suing for personal damages and requesting that the Astros donate their $31 million postseason bonuses to charity
This is probably a very difficult case to win, but I'll be watching it...
Miguel Castro in, top of 3. Zunino, Martinez, B. Lowe.
High praise for Castro's 2019. Continues to works on mechanics. McDonald comments on his height (6'7) being problematic for consistency. Thinks Castro / Harvey / Givens will be 7/8/9. Thinks Miguel is a lot like Tanner Scott with the same problems. Can be dominant with sinker when he has his stuff. Compares five years of issues to Nolan Ryan and Randy Johnson having consistency issues before they figured it out.
Hit 95 on pitch to the backstop during Zunino's AB. Walked on 4 pitches.
Jose Martinez grounds to shortstop, 6-4-3 double play. Comment on Iglesias being smooth and flashy. O's fans will love it.
Lowe walks on 3-2 count.
Daniel Robertson goes 0-2 early. Goes full on 2-2, Castro and booth thought it was a strikeout. Castro walks Robertson on full count. Looking at bullpen due to pitch count, have RHP warming up.
Nate Lowe strikes out to end the top half of the inning.
FG with a take on whether Cleveland (probably a fair proxy for Baltimore) could afford to drop 10/$330 for Lindor FA years 2022-2031.
I don't imagine Lindor will do anything before seeing the Mookie benchmark a year from now, and of course the FG piece is just a tweak at ownership it only expects to cry poverty.
Cohort is for the Arenado opt-out, Bryant, Baez, Correa, Story, Seager basket of infielders available alongside Lindor for $$$$ two years out. The 2022 Orioles presently have 21.119M committed to MLB payroll.
