Odor had an OPS+ of 82 last season. Below is a list of other Orioles infielders in comparison. Franco is better than the worst of the worst O's infielders, but he's still not hitting at an acceptable level for an everyday player.
And this doesn't strike of a move by a team that isn't trying for last place again. Also if Odor is going to play 3B, then I'd rather play Gutierrez if their offensive production is going to be equal.
Right but wouldn't it make sense to have something of a functional team and future players on the roster already when they come up?
Odor 1 year so it's just a patchwork job and another punt year. Joy...
