Making hamhocks and beans. I had a large ham bone from Thanksgiving. Got two beautiful big ol' hamhocks from a meat market I didn't even know was here. Leeks, onions, carrots, celery and hearts, couple heirloom tomatoes, turnips, rutabagas, couldn't find parsnips, parsley, thyme, peppercorns, bay leaves. Here it is about 2 hours in.
FWIW. While it's not a likely scenario that Alabama safety Xavier McKinney will be our first round pick, I do see a scenario in which he'd be the Best Player Available. Our depth at safety is poor, and while we are fine at both SS and FS, Earl Thomas is getting older and Chuck Clark is a decent SS, but an upgrade would be nice. Again, it's not likely with more pressing needs in the draft, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
