This is first of all to Tony and Weams, but also to everyone of the "Oriole persuasion", as  Michael described it. Tony, thank you for providing me a home after years wandering in the darkness in Oriole fandom, and Michael and your lovely "partner" who took me under your collective wings  years ago (Birds Nest?) to direct me to the street vendor with best Italian sausage. I have never regretted any time I devoted to this site (my employer would differ) over the years. As one of the older here (70) I lived the great years and just naively assumed it would always be so. I'm not going anywhere Tony, there is nowhere else I  want to be. Happy Turkey Day to all.

It was a Hangout Night. I think. Maybe at the Birds Nest.

I have much to be thankful for in this life, I have wonderful family and good health. I have a marvelous partner that shares my joy of baseball and of adventure. I've had the extreme privilege of working with and knowing many of you. I've had several careers that have fortunately ended up with just this last one.

I know folks have hard times and struggles and problems that they can't even find a way to express, but  I am thankful that those of the Orioles persuasion have this place to gather and let that stuff fade for moments, minutes, or more.

Happy Friendsgiving and Thanksgiving to all of you and yours. May your feast be of bounty and your gatherings be full of love.

Wonderfully expressed and appreciated. Same to ya fella. ;)

Gratitude has many psychological benefits ranging from reduced depression to better career satisfaction to healthy relationships.  Cultivating a sense of gratitude even in the face of difficult times can help you weather the worst of storms.

I am filled with gratitude as it relates to many experiences and aspects of life but am especially thankful for baseball, the Orioles and the opportunity to share our passion together here as friends and fans.

God bless everyone here, your families and friends and especially  those who are serving abroad and those serving people in need tomorrow and every day.

  • Thanks 1

I met Tony and Weams at an OH hangout night a few years ago.   Brought the wife and daughter with me (we were not part of the group).   Wanted to show them who to blame for all my time on the phone/tablet/laptop (often they would find OH open on their personal devices).   It was during an inning, not between and they were both gracious in saying hello.  @scOtt was there too I believe.

I've been to a bunch of Hangouts, I may have been there. Section 8 out by the flag court? RF corner.

I'm thankful for spending today with family and my brother in law's family. OMG my nieces are getting so old! The older one will be driving next year!
