Post the sound bite.

Roll Tide is correct.    It was quoted by Melewski:

Baltimore had a number of names in mind. Those are the players they had targeted. As we kind of worked through the deal, that is how it evolved.

“If their approach was quantity, we were open to that. If their approach would have been one player and aiming somewhere different, we would have entertained that too. We kind of worked through the deal and this was ultimately where it went. We didn’t have a target list of guys we wanted to utilize in this trade. Those guys are talented. Quite frankly, you give up players you just recently drafted, that can go in a number of directions. Every deal hurts. This one is no different.”

I give the guy a certain amount of credit. He has strong opinions. Had passion about this baseball stuff and tried to build his own thing when it became clear this place wasn't for him.

Now he's into politics, so I pity him. (kidding, sort of) I'm glad he has a thing.

I just read Last month and half of his Twitter after you posted this.  Seems pretty reasonable points.  He supports a candidate and posts about him.  It isn’t the typical political rants you read from people that gets half the  the readers of it angry.  I never had an issue with his posts on here.

@weams I don't need to post here! I do so because I like it and have found the information, friends, and conversation worth it. I'm not trying tp fight with anyone. But I refuse to eat a lot of crap from a guy that is clearly trolling!   And why is he doing so? Not because I did something to him. For the simple reason that he doesn't share my point of view and or cant convince me to change my mind.

The poster replies to my every post with an insult or complaint about repeating the same information. Then publicly, uses the time out crack as he lobbies for my suspension. In spite of the fact that I had broken no rules, just that he adamantly disagrees with my position. Then follows a post asking for a link from something that was played on the radio (that Frobby provided as back up later). When I inform him of such, he questions my integrity with the disappearing quote crack. I can't see how anyone could possibly blame me for my reaction. My mention of a time out was just mocking his comment to you from a day earlier.

I do my very best to post honestly and don't pull crap out of the sky. I can usually find a reference for the claim I've made such as the Sun articles that I posted the other day.

You and I have been at odds on most points since Monday.I remind myself that we don't always have to agree because it indeed a message board. It's not personal and I certainly hope that you don't take it that way.

No one is getting anyone suspended. I want things to cool down.

I liked JTrea but a certain group of posters clashed pretty regularly with him. I don't recall whether he just left or was banned. I know he posts occasionally over on BSL.

Wow, Dylan Bundy was the straw that broke the camel's back for you?

Really! This isn’t like a contract for anyone named Davis to play 1B...

I am kind of feeling that way after Villar trade. Truthfully, I don't care about Bundy trade either way.  They can trade Mancini, Givens, Mountcastle and Hays and it won't make any difference to me.  It is kind of like if your girlfriend left you after cheating on you. Now she is with a second guy.  She is gone now what difference does it make who she is sleeping with.  I don't care anymore what the Orioles do.  If they decided to move to Nashville tomorrow it would make zero difference to me.  If they just decided to close up shop fine with me.

My god that’s melodramatic. If you really feel that way, why even waste the energy typing that post? Go find something else that you are passionate about. Plant a garden. Learn to snowboard; the winter is almost here.

I’d sure as hell care if they closed up shop, because I love this team. I still give a damn, and I always will. But apparently you’re done with things, so it may be best if you moved on. Good lord...

Atomic I totally get your disappointment. I know that losing your favorite current player can be disappointing. For me I had came to terms that ELias was going to trade him an others when he took over. I think you can recall my position of giving him a 2-3 years extension if we couldn't get anything good in return. After his trade I still think that is the better move. Quite frankly, I think they could've extended him for a fraction of the 10.4 per year arb number.

I don't think your are gone! As I mentioned nobody that has spent the time to post 11,000+ posts about this team is going anywhere. Hang in there as I think there is hope we can turn the corner soon.  Also just ignore the comments like the one from @lovetoaster.

This is the kind of post that tips off conflict. Its a discussion board and @weams ant the other mods have asked that we tone things down.

The guy has 12.000 posts so it should be obvious that he's passionate about the Orioles and just didn't like the move.

    • You should change your name to Crab Supreme!
    • I bet they do now.  I guess they want as normal as possible situations.  Plus when you usually taking BP the pitcher not throwing that had so little follow through.  If you want normal pitching it makes the screen a bit harder as pitchers come down the mound pretty far on follow through.
    • Most restaurants will answer you honestly when asked where there crab meat comes from. If you are considering opening a restaurant that serves crab, you'll need to understand that some customers can tell the difference between the ill-flavored Phillips garbage of mixed species - primarily Mud Crab (Portunas armatus), the flavorless Venezuelan crab meat (which can be of mixed species also) and fresh, steamed callinectes sapidus, especially from the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries...even when covered up in crabcakes or Crab Imperial!Straight from the container, most can easily tell the difference. People who grew up eating fresh steamed Maryland blue crabs tend to have a more well-hone ability to discriminate between the real deal and the pretenders.  I know about Phillips' farming operations in the Phiilipines, India and Indonesia. They have tons of customers of their crab-product throughout the state and even the country. There's a Bourdain episode where Tony hangs with Detroit firefighters who are purchasing exorbitantly priced, metal cans of pasteurized, Phillips-labeled crab-product. Later, he makes them a delicious and inexpensive beef stew that the entire station house raves about. It's important to understand that Asian and Venezuelan crab meat are treated with the anti-bacterial, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, leaving the meat bleached white, odorless and favorless. That may be preferable to falliing victim to the annual outbreaks of Vibrio parahaemolyticus bacterial infections from Atlantic equatorial crabs. By contrast, steamed, non-pasteurized, non chemically bathed fresh Maryland blue crab meat has a deep, rich aroma, almost musky with small yellow flecks of the epicurean delight, "crab mustard." I guarantee you that if I placed all three meats plain in bowls, you could easily taste the difference. You could smell the difference, even! BTW: all west coast crabs including those from Peru are from other species which are inferior to callinectes sapidus. No "beautiful swimmers" being caught in the Pacific. However, some have crossed the pond via bilge water and have made new homes from the Mediterranean shores of France to Norway. Certain industry secrets are hard to keep. It's not hard to find which restaurants purvey the crap. Sadly, you are more likely to get Asian or Venezuelan crab to U.S.A. -sourced blue crab when ordering a crabcake at Baltimore metro restaurants. If you want to be sure you are buying real fresh steamed blue crab, you can find restaurants who exclusively serve Maryland crab or others who serve Maryland crab in season, only substituting with Louisiana meat during winter months, copy this url: https://seafood.maryland.gov/true-blue-maryland-crab-meat/ Crab Hack: if you boil your crabs in salt water, I have a money saving tip for you -- Microwave a mug of water filled with salty popcorn. You'll never know the difference.
    • David Price of the Dodgers opts out of the 2020 season.
    • Salvador Perez said he has it but is showing no symptoms and could play right now. Padres and Twins confirmed a few cases. Orioles said they won’t confirm any, but Roch is doing good at putting out the names of everyone at practice.
    • I’d go to a packed Camden Yards right now to see them practice.
